Anyone know if the Neverland pool has water again?

I read recently (here maybe?) that they were doing maintenance on the Neverland Pool at the DLH and that it was empty as of a couple of days ago.

Any updates?

TIA :wave2:

It was still empty last week and we didn't see any work in progress. The front desk thought it might be a few more weeks at least. We ended up asking nicely for an upgrade to the Grand Californian which was granted.

I was just there on Saturday and the pool does have water in it. It was not open yet though, there were a bunch of workers working on a structure next to the pool.

I just called the DLH to ask and I was told that it was originally scheduled to re-open on 2/1 but now it won't be until 2/5. She did tell me that we were welcome to use the pool slide at PP if the Neverland Pool was still closed when we are there. Trekking back to DLH from PP after an evening swim with two dd's that have long, wet hair sounds pretty miserable :sad1: I'm sure hoping it does re-open on 2/5 in time for our reservation on 2/8.

Oh dear! I thought for sure it would be open by the time we get there on 2/9. Now it looks like there's a possibility it might not be!

Does anyone know if the "quiet pool" is open?

Yes, the "Cove Pool" is open. We swam there once and while it was a nice pool, it was pretty dirty with lots of things floating in the water the one time we were there. It's not that big so I would imagine that it could get really crowded if it's the only one open for the whole hotel...

We went to PP to use the water slide on Saturday but the slide was closed! They just had the pool open. So then we went to GC to use their pools and water slide and everything was open.

You're right about that- it's under a tree and there are usually leaves in it.

We prefer this pool as it is far less crowded and warmer than the Neverland Pool.

So, just wondering, if when we arrive, the pool is still closed, and they never mentioned it to us either, what are the chances for an upgrade over to GC like you were granted? I would rather stay at DH for the kids (13/14 year olds), but just speaking for ourselves, hubby and I would love the move! ;) Not to mention I truly don't want to walk them back and forth to a different hotel (esp. if it's raining and they WILL swim in the rain--sheesh, obviously the rain forecast bothers me more than anyone else in the fam.). So what's the secret to "asking nicely"? Or is this just totally unethical? I would imagine that enjoying the rain in the hotel would be far cozier in the GC by the fireplace. ::yes::

Some of our friends are going on the last week of Feb until first week of March, is it open already for that week?

I am curious about this too because we moved for the same reason (pool) and we had to pay the $79 difference per night.

I just talked to a CM at reservations. She said they received a memo yesterday that the pool will open Feb 5 (today!).

If you want to know for sure, call 714-956-Mickey
