Anyone know anything about "Magical Gatherings"

We have a group of 10 going to WDW this fall. Would we qualify for the Magical gathering thing? We are not staying on a package , we are staying on points at BWV. It looks like they have some fun things only available to MG guests. Anyone here who has done it?????

I'm planning on doing it with a group of 12 in 2006. I've heard mixed reviews. Some pople really like it, and some don't. You can qualify for it since you are staying in Disney. Your requests for rooms near each other will be paid greater attention to and there are many things you can do with it. just check disneyworld.com

What is it that people like and don't like? Is there some sort of a charge for these things? I am mainly interested in the meals and little cruise that you can only do through them. It would be nice to deal with them if they will help us sit together in restaurants. I guess I really don't know eactly what it is!!!!

We did the magical gatherings back in March. It had some great perks to it. We picked the Wishes fireworks cruise and loved it. The problem was and maybe still is the program seemed very disorganized. The wait time to talk to a CM was sometimes very long and not all of them were informed about the program. I did not like that I had to deal with them all the time, even to make PS. But I must say after we did the cruise, it was my parents 50th anniversary, it was worth the hassle.

There is no charge to sign up for it, and I don't think they really were able to help us get any different PS for meals. The main perk is the special cruises and tours they offer.
