My husband has spent the past few month building his dream office. We want to have a logo designed to use on the sign, stationary, etc. I have been doing a little searching on the internet, but was wondering if anyone has gone through this process?

Costs, time to completion, things to expect?

I'd really appeciate any input!!! I'm clueless in this department! :confused3

look into having someone in a local college do it. They need the experience it will cost a lot less money.

It would be several thousand for a graphic designer. I agree, call your local college's art or graphic design department and ask if they need a 'cllient.' The students get a project for their portfolio and you get design.

I know when we used clients they paid a small fee to the university that was used as a project budget then there was no question that they owned the logo.

I used this company and was very pleased with their work for the price...$199 for a custom logo and stationery design. I changed my mind about 5 times and they worked with me. One of the revisions was a total re-do and it was more my fault in not communicating what I really wanted. They also provided lots of different formats/files on CD in both color and black and white.

Edited to add....

Because I asked for so many changes and revisions the process took about 3 weeks. You just keep going back and forth until together you get it the way you want it. Initial turn-around time to see those first proofs wasn't long at all. Two days maybe? I liked CJ though....he returned any e-mail I sent him within a day and his portfolio is definitely nice quality stuff. Also, they do unlimited revisions for that price whereas other web logo companies limit the times you can make changes. Hope this helps!

Local colleges, interesting idea. Unfortunately they don't start back around here for a couple of more weeks. Wish I had gotten started on this sooner - our original building completion date was early March. Now they think we will be able to move in by Feb.1st!

That's good news, but my procrastination is going to cost me. (in either time or money)

Anyone have an impressive name for a dental practice???
