Anyone know any groups for card sending to seniors?

Hi-Does anyone know of any card sending groups that send out cards to seniors/people in nursing homes? Friend of mine is in a nursing home in another state and has no family nearby- she loves getting cards and I wanted to see if she can get put on any lists for Thanksgiving/Christmas cards- anyone know of any? Thanks!

Many church groups visit nursing homes throughout the year. Our Catholic Church has a ministry that visits the homes at least once weekly and then brings cards to the residents for all holidays.

Check with the activities department of your friends' nursing home. Due to HIPPA regulations, the family or nursing home resident usually has to state their religious preference and if they would like outside visitors.

Still might be worth asking the activities department.

They may know of groups that already do send cards to their home.

Local schools,rotary clubs, etc. often do send cards.
