Anyone know about this discount?

On the last night of our stay (Aug 3rd), we decided to do the shopping portion of our trip. While checking out (of course, our last store of the night), as the cashier was finalizing our purchase, another person behind the counter saw our room key along with our AAA card. She told the other girl we get an additional 5% discount for having a room key. I questioned her and she said it is a perk for staying onsite, but nobody knew about it because it was one of those things they don't advertise. Don't know if it was a mistake in the fact I should have never gotten the room key discount or the fact I got it in addition to AAA, but I never purchased anything else at another store to verify or request the discount. Maybe someone else can give it a try and report back.

That can't be true as I used my room key to pay for most of my purchases while there and I never got any discount. Unless you have to specifically ask for it, but that isn't right.

I did that as well and only got the AAA discount. No one ever mentioned any discount for having a room key.
