Anyone know about crowds in May??

We are hoping to plan a trip in May 2013 - May 11-17....

Anyone been there during that time??
How are the crowds? How about the weather, super hot???

I went once the first week of May & the lines were non existent & the weather was pretty nice not too hot. this was 6 years ago though......

Weather=awesome not too hot but warm enough for pool and water parks
Crowds=NONE unless it was 2 years ago and you wanted to see Rapunzel

We went right after Mother's Day in 2010....most everything was almost a walk on...and the weather was perfect !!!

We went during May 2 years ago. LOved it!! Crowds were great, and the weather was perfect! The only thing I remember that was annoying were these little bugs that they call love bugs. The flew around us at the pool, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Have fun!!

Actually crowds are good it can be very hot in may, just depends.

I've been for the last 4 Mays. Crowds are moderate and the temperatures range from good to very hot. Two of these four vacations were much hotter than I was expecting. One was worse than this year's 4th of July trip.

when does May start to get busy?

A cast member once told me that May is like December and it gets busier as the month goes on. I imagine this makes sense as more schools get out around the country, and Memorial Day weekend if a long weekend for most. I'm hoping this is still true since I'm looking at the first weekend in May...

My daughter and I were there May 3rd-6th and the crowds were really pretty light.

Stayed at POP - first time at that resort and really enjoyed our stay! We went to MK and Epcot and the only thing we used fast pass for was Soarin. Weather was great - and yes it was hot!!

Have done a few Mays and although it wasn't end of Aug crowds which we've seen, I wouldn't say it was all walk-ons either. Can't remember dates but that was poss mid to end of May. I know in May we had the Star Wars w/e so that adds to crowds

As for weather we went May 2009 - the wettest May since records began, apparently. We were there for 17 days and we only had 3/4 days where it did not rain ALL day. Hoping that was a freak year (have been told it was) as back again May 2013

We went for a week last year, starting Sunday, May 8. The first half of the week was great as far as crowds, but by Thursday that changed - LOTS of people everywhere. The heat was the worst; high 90's the entire time. Ugh!

We always go the week you listed or the week before. This past year we went from the 11-20th. Crowds were great as always although it did seem a bit hotter than normal. It was expected though and we were okay. It did rain one day, which it hadn't done for years when we've gone! Favorite time to go aside from early December.

We just went this May and the crowds were totally manageable. Maybe not walk on rides but lines were relatively low and the weather was nice. Very good swimming weather!

The week after May 15th - when college is done in CT & NY.

Star Wars weekend only makes DHS crowded.
So not bad in other parks.

Memorial day weekend starts the crowds and summer time rates

We went the first week of may last year, and it was very nice! One day it was really hot, about 95 and we spent the afternoon indoors, but the other days were about 88-90. Lines were longer than October, but still not long at all. Overall it was a really good time to go!
