Anyone know about boat rental?

We're are thinking of organising a boat trip for our weddign guests during the day whilst we go off to have photos taken. We have never done this before and are not really sure on the options-ideally there will be a driver (if that's what they're called) who can take control of the boat and give a bit of a tour. Is this something we can do? Anyone know prices for this sort of thing?

We'd need the boat to leave from the Floridian and would only need 1 hour max, maybe less.

We hired a pontoon boat it BLT it was approx $45 per 1/2 hour, its very easy to sail too!

The Grand 1 comes with a driver and first mate and can carry ~18 guests. It's $500 and hour but is ideally suited for special occasions.

We hired 3 boats for our 22 guests as part of our wedding reception.

Was great fun and everyone loved it and learned loads about WDW and it's history and wildlife. The driver of my particular boat even told us ghost stories!!

Are you having a DFTW? if so your guests will probably be busy at a pre reception while you have photos?

We are having an Escape wedding and at the moment have an hour or so spare and nowhere for our guests to go. We don't want them to just have to go and sit in the lobby or something while we are off in other parts of the resorts so thought the boat trip would keep them entertained!!

Do you mind telling me how much the boats, with driver cost to hire and if you know whether or not this is available during the day?

Sure.

The boats can go out at anytime. But some of the CMs on the phone seem to think they only go at firework times so do perservere.

They were around $350 +tax per boat I believe. Cruises were awesome and we learned so much from our drivers.

For the difference I'd totally have gone for the yacht if we could have all fitted on there. We had too many people though.

Was fun having 3 boats though as we raced a bit and then all got side by side and stuff. Very fun.
