Anyone just back from POR ????

If so,

I would like to hear ( plus I am sure others would too ) what you thought of the resort...have the renovations started yet, and just basically your overall impressions.

I'm curious about this too. Was the renovations obvious and was anything shut down that you missed?

I was at POR from 5/3 - 5/10. Several of the AB buildings were closed and at least one if not two of the mansion buildings were closed. There was no renovation happening that I saw, however, all of the bus stops were closed except for the south station. I've stayed at POR a number of times and everything seemed about as always. Bob, the piano guy, was playing in the lounge and the boats to Downtown Disney were running on the hour from 9am to 4pm then they went to every 15 minutes. They have closed one of the areas in the food court since I was last there. I don't remember what the name of it was but it was next to the bakery and had the taco salads and blue plate type specials. One new addition since I'd been was the horse drawn buggy rides. It looked really nice and the horse was just beautiful.

I too am interested. I have res. at POR for 7/24 - 8/2. Will it be open? I called CRO and was told POR was not affected only POFQ. That's not what I have been hearing - where do you get the real story?

Here are photos from our stay at the resort April 28 - May 9.

They have closed a few bus stops and one section of the food court stations, however it was a wonderful stay at POR. No renovations in site.
