Anyone just back from CBR?

Hello all! I have just switched our spring break ressies from Pop to CBR. DH and I stayed there before on our very first trip as a couple but that has been 5 years ago now. I know the main pool is being rehabed. Are the rooms in decent shape or are they getting shabby? The last time we stayed there we were lucky enough to be in what is now considered a preferred location (Jamaica maybe? I have no idea.) but I was wondering if I should bother to request a certain section or just wait to see what happens when we check in.

We stayed there in December 2007 and LOVED it!!!! We stayed in Trinidad North building #31. I was amazing at how well-kept the resort was and how spotless and up-to-date the room was. I hadn't been to CBR/Disney since the 90s so I was so pleasantly surprised. We really enjoyed our stay there, especially our lazy evenings watching the sunset on a hammock.

We stayed at CBR in Dec. The room looked great. Jamaica is a popular location and doesn't cost extra like the preferred rooms.

Yes it does! We loved it on our first trip. I loved the theming and the tropical, relaxing atmosphere. Trinidad North - after reading that I remembered that's where we stayed the first time.

We were at CBR from Jan 1 until Jan 20, 2008.

The room we had was in decent shape. We had a nice conversation with the head of housekeeping & he said that at some point this spring they're going to be doing a rolling rehab (one village at a time) - painting, new carpet, new furniture, etc... So, the rooms are becoming a bit worn (very little bit in my opinion) -- also the housekeeping we had was very good on that trip.

We were in a king room in Aruba 54.

We were there at end of November, early December 2007, and talking with some staff, we found out that they are supposed to rehad some of the room with Pirates of the Caribbean theme........

He said that they would have pirate themed rooms with LCD TV's and the pool was supposed to be Pirate themed also when done.
