Hi Maria,
I am right over the bridge from you in South Philly! Anyway, we are doing a cruise out of NYC in October. What cruise line are you taking? I am doing Norwegian and I know that they have a bus that for $50 per person round trip they will pick you up at PHL airport and take you to the Pier. Also, Dave's Limo will pick you up at your house and that is about $75 per person. Let me know if you need any other help!
Hi JKMastalski,
I called 2 limo services that want 250.00 each way, I am going on carnival victory and they have no transfers. do you have Dave's limo # or where is it so I can get the #, amtrack was $168.00 round trip from philly then I need a cab to Pier 88, I wonder how much that is each way. to park is $168.00 plus tolls and gas which I think I might have to do I don't want to drag luggage

anybody any ideas on driving and parking / what time would we get on the ship in morning?
You can do public transit, it means lugging your bags, but its cheap.
From home take a cab or bus to a PATCO stop, take PATCO to 8th and Market in Philly. There's Regional Rail at the Market East station. I believe one of the rail lines (I think the R7 Trenton line, not sure) leads to a NJ Transit bus station/stop which has buses to NYC and then take a cab from the bus terminal in NYC to the port.

There's also a greyhound bus terminal at 10th-12th and Race sts across from the Gallery/Market East in Philly that will take you to NYC.
I'm not quite sure where Deptford is but can't you do a NJ Transit Train out of Princeton or Princeton Junction? I just looked it up...it's about 10 bucks each way.
And Amtrak is $32 each way out of Princeton Junction. However I don't know about parking there.
You could also park at Newark Airport and make your way over from there using NJ Transit. There are safe off airport parking lots that are around $10 a day. Mr. B's is pretty good. Open 24 hours, shuttlebus runs regularly...you could catch the airport's Airtrain to the NJTransit platform and go from there. When you get back to the airport just go to the designated A, B or C pick up points and call them to come get you. NJTransit won't be significantly cheaper from Newark Airport as opposed to Princeton Junction.
How about the bus (Greyhound?) from Mt. laurel/NJ Turnpike area? Then the cab. I cruised out of NYC years ago (On Norwegian) and since we didn't do air, we got transfers that picked us up in Mt. laurel at a hotel on 73. The Greyhound bus should take you into Penn Station, I think. The "Greyhound Quicklink" costs $38r/t but has limited am service.
