Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Recieved the email with tracking numbers this morning and the bands were on the porch by 9 am today as well. Checking in Dec 11 and 12 (split stay).

for those getting parcel post- do you normally get UPS at the shipping address you picked? UPS can't deliver to a PO Box for example.

I'm kind of intrigued that they having bee shipping UPS overnight for this long- that's got to be a huge cost that isn't necessary really when they are shipping 30 days in advance.

I half wondered if they aren't using UPS logistics (basically UPS has a factory sorts of things at their air hub where they can do repetitive tasks for third parties, stuff like swap computer hard drives that need repair, even shipping lobsters i think so they can quickly get finished goods where they need to be). Engraving/packaging/shipping magic bands seemed like the sort of thing that maybe they would do, so i was wondering if maybe that's not why they were still shipping UPS overnight so late into the game.

But if they are shipping USPS when they could do UPS that would seem to blow that possibility out of the water.

As someone who deals with freight/shipping for my company, I can tell you that UPS probably charges Disney less for overnight shipping than you would think. My company is far smaller than Disney, but the FedEx rates we get make it about the same to overnight as to send USPS, plus you get the better tracking options, make your customers feel special, etc.

I have a message right now on MDE that says something like "Act fast! Your bands may have already shipped!!" or something like that. They are customized, and ready to be sent. We're in Canada so we won't get them until we check in but it's just another reminder that one month from today I'll be in Walt Disney World.

We got our second set of bands today but did not receive an e-mail. We did with our first set. Not a big deal. I am just happy they came and were the correct colors.

What MDE info are you referring to? I check into our second resort that day and we already have our MBs, FP +, ME tags, etc....

I have not received luggage tags yet. We checkin on 12/7...should we have them? Also, is our MB what we will use in place of the voucher for ME?

We received our luggage tags yesterday, our check in is 12/15. I was surprised to get them so fast. I am unsure of the answer to your ME question as we drive. Good luck!

On a whim I logged on to the BeOurGuestLunch site and was able to get a FastPass+ for lunch on 12/13.

BoG for lunch and Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for dinner. Going to be a fun birthday!

Yes. I get both UPS & FedEx to my street address. It's very irritating that I'm getting third class treatment, considering the amount of $$$ I spend yearly with Disney.

Thanks for the heads up, I just tried it and got one for Tue Dec 10th!! I was trying to get for Sat Dec 14th, so hopefully that day will open soon and I'll switch out if I can. I did try to get one on Wed as well, just to see how it worked, but it wouldn't let me have both - if I took Wed, I would lose Tue ressie. Interesting!

Me too! I just scheduled. FP+ arrival for 12/13, but didn't select meals. DH has zero interest in deciding what he'll eat so far in advance. Does anyone know if I can select my meal that morning before we check in at the podium? And is there a separate check in for FP people?

From what I see when I view my confirmed reservation - there is an "order now" button that can be used at anytime to make meal selections, switching you from fast pass+ to direct to table. You can always go back into your reservation at anytime to modify your chosen selections.

The instructions on the confirmation page say to check in for FP+ at the podium at the bridge. So yes it's a separate check in.

You will still receive the same voucher that they always send for the ME. It will be mailed with the yellow luggage tags. You should be getting them in the next few days. If not then you can always call them.

I had a hunch that the UPS delivery arriving today from NGE was our MagicBand delivery, and the email from Disney this morning confirmed it. Nice to know I'll have that treat waiting for me after work today.

My question is, will I receive a confirmation # or e-mail.

And I selected FP+ Expedited Arrival, do I Have to order my meal ahead of time or can we do it at restaurant?

No you will not get a confirmation. Take a screen capture of your reservation or print It on your computer and take it with you,

Expedited allows you to order at arrival, direct to table is pre-order.
