Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Someone told me that Disney is using December as an "opportunity to pause and reflect on the magic bands testing and to plan the next phase"

Has anyone else heard this? What does this mean? :confused3

Wait.. Should I have a KTTW card showing up under MagicBands and Cards? Trip is paid for and I see all my reservations, but when I click on Magicbands and cards this is what I get... "Error: We are unable to display certain MagicBand order details at this time.
If some or all of your orders are not present, please refresh the page or try again later."

If it's a package with tickets and/or dining, you will not see anything else other than the resort package reservation at this time since the window to customize MB or to select FP+ has not opened for December arrivals.

You will see there any dining reservations you made. You can also link your guests with their own MDE accounts as well. If they made dining reservations then they'll show up there as well.

The only way to stress test a system like this is to actually use it. December is their peak period. It would be dumb for them to slow or stop for a while. I seriously doubt that would happen.

We should see December being added hopefully in the next few days.

Not to mention it would put December check-ins at a SERIOUS disadvantage if everyone else staying on site has MBs and they don't.

Try this: when you first sign in, you will be on the regular Disney. Just hover over "My Disney Experience" until you see a list of options. Under the heading "My Account" click on the option "MagicBands and cards". You do not want to click on "Manage MagicBands and cards" since that seems to take you to an error. You just want to see them, not manage them.

I hope that makes sense. Those cards have been in my MDE account since our February trip.

My only real annoyance with the roll out of FP+ for December is that I haven't heard anything official from Disney. I'm excited to try FP+ and MB's but honestly if we don't get them in December I'd be thrilled to use the tried and true old FP system and KTTW cards.

I just really wish Disney would let us know what's going on so we can plan accordingly.

Cool, thanks! :cool1:

Under 'MagicBands & Cards', you will see any RFID Device/Card that's been assigned to you. That can be a MagicBand, RFID KTTW card and/or any tickets/passes issued on RFID cards. Under the 'Tickets and Passes' section of 'My Reservations', you should see all your actual tickets and passes regardless of the media they are issued on (tyvek aka paper and/or RFID card).
Sorry- by "green cards" I meant the new "credit card" style RFID tickets that are made of plastic. My old style tickets (the paper ones) are showing as "linked" (I believe), but are not listed under the list of cards that pop up when I click on "manage magic bands" I just want to confirm that if I see my tickets listed under "tickets & passes" in the reservations section, then I'm all set and just need to wait for December to open up? I don't want to end up only getting MB (and ultimately FP+) for only 2 of our 5 members of the family!

KTTW cards will not show up under 'MagicBands & Cards' until after you arrive at the resort.

I have a deactivated KTTW card under my "MagicBands & Cards" section...that's not going to make a difference in anything, is it?

On phone with Disney IT trying to get some things fixed. Was told that they officially extended Dec into testing today, that 28 days prior to arrival is the first day to get FP+ for a trip and that starting today they going thru and wiping any FP that were made before that 28 day period. Who knows if that's gonna be correct or not. Guess we will see.

hmm, then maybe those people who work at the IT for disney needs to listen to the tutorial on their web page when it states 60 days before.

Anyone else kind of overwhelmed? I've never visited during the holidays before and I'm kind of expecting apocalypse-level crowds... (And I mean apocalypse in a very merry way, of course!)

I'm trying to be responsible and budget conscious and not purchase our tickets until we have the money in our checking account to do it, which won't be until next pay period. I feel like if I DON'T get Magic Bands and FP+ I will be oh-so-behind the very-merry Toy Story Maniac hordes, but I can't even tell whether buying the tickets now with my credit card would actually help anything!! Am I wrong? Have I missed anything or is it really just this up in the air?

Disney, I LOVE you because I can PLAN with you like the Type A crazy that I am!! YOU ARE THROWING ME OFF MAH GAME!!!!

That 60 day window is only for when the system is fully up and running until they there is really no set time.

I agree we are getting a lot of conflicting info. This is the second CM that has mentioned 28 days out so makes me think that might be the case. I know it's not 60days cause that mark has come and gone for me and still no FP+

(which is supposed to be at the end of this month- for resort guests)
I still dont believe its 28 days.

Dec 1 people will have to wait til Nov 4th (or around)/
doesnt sound right. And the past few months the FP+ came online around the 20th of each month.

(ok- i guess it depends on when you are going to see if 28 days.

28 days out is when they send your bands to you
