Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

If they use the 60 day rule eventually, they would have to open up to all of those arriving on the 1st of the month all at once and then those arriving the 2nd in the same way a day later and so on if I understand it right. I can see that this would be a big strain on a system still in testing though.

I also thought that November had opened all at once too but I might have misread the reports. This is confusing but fun to speculate about as others have said.

I stand corrected, too. It was almost all at once. By going back over the November thread, most people with November check ins could customize MagicBands within a three day period. The first people to report being able to customize bands were able to do it in the afternoon or later on Sept 24th. We have a Nov 30th check in and were able to customize MB's in the evening of Sept 26th. The option appeared sometime after 6pm.

So it was almost all at once.

What surprised me when I went back over the November thread was how long the November people had to wait:

We check in Nov 1st and I check MDE every morning and at night before bed to see if FP+ is open for us. I can't wait to get access as I am an OCD Disney planner! I will post unless someone beats me to it

You cannot reserve FP+s yet. Only guests with check in dates on or before 10/31 have access to the system. Once Disney is finished loading all of the October information they should move to November. Keep checking these boards. Once November goes live the news should be posted here within minutes.

I'm not expert- but what i understand is:

you should have MB's and FP+s as you are checking in on 11/28.

They''ll probably try to give you 2 more sets for your 12/1 and 12/3 check in when december gets released. But you should have one for your 11/28 check in now.

Once you have one (which you should for FW) it will let you make 14 days of FP+ assuming you have tickets linked to your account.

Thank you, yes, I was able to make FP+ and get MB for the FW part of our stay, The problem is we are travelling with different guests that check-in for the Dec 1, and Dec 3 dates with us.

They may be trying to decide whether the system is ready for a full roll out or requires fixes and more testing. Obviously the options for December can be anywhere from full roll out, continued all-resorts testing, more scaled back testing, or even suspending testing so that known problems uncovered in the testing done to-date can be fixed before continuing.

I hadn't thought that a December suspension was very probable, but people's comments recently have me wondering. December is a tricky month for all the reasons people are bringing up. I'll bet those responsible for making the decisions in Disney are considering much of what we are discussing here!

We're going 11/30-12/7. I know this isn't the restaurant board, but if I was able to customize our Bands and setup some FastPasses, why isn't the BOG lunch FastPass system open? You would think they would release December for all three features??

I too have been wondering if they won't do a full roll out in December because of the extreme busy time the holiday break will be. As much as I would like to have the MB and FP+ in places, I wouldn't want a buggy system that could potentially make things more chaotic while I am there . . . I am torn as to what I really want to happen . . .

Mid November would be too late to process MagicBands for Dec. 1 arrivals. November 1 opened on Sep. 24 so I would expect December to start opening within 2 weeks from now - by October 24.

I think they have to decide it it will continue in testing, or go live. They really need to get advance FP+ working reliably with adequate choices loaded, with a reasonable chance to get top attractions. If not, then they need to provide continuing access to legacy FP. (no double dip discussions please.)

There are so many ticket linking problems, and family member problems in MDE, that it cannot be considered successful so far.

I agree that Disney exec might be discussing some issues we are discussing here, but also many other things, such as the cost/benefit of every aspect of the testing. In my opinion suspending all the testing only to restart it all over again a few weeks later would probably mean a lot of trouble, besides the fact that they also have to test mymagic+ for the peak times.

So, I think a full roll out may not happen in december, but the testing might go on for a few more months.

I just got off the phone with the internet support line and was told that as of right now they are only going as far as 28 days out with the invitations. That's 11/5 check in. But that could change from day to day.

Which is precisely why people have been getting their invitation AFTER they got their Magic Bands. LOL Oh Disney.

I think that the reason Disney would not open all of December all at once is because of the nightmare of having 100,000 check in's all trying to order MB's at the same time.

But think about it. You won't have 100,000 checkins "ordering" magic bands at the same time. People will just be customizing them.

They aren't actually processed and shipped until the "last day to customize", which with October and November so far has been 30 days out. Earlier in testing it was 10 days out. So I think they would be ok to open it all at once. Or over a 2 or 3 day period.

ETA... I totally don't see them just ending testing OR doing a full roll out for December. Waaaay too many bugs/ glitches for that to happen. JMO

I check in Dec 4 at the Polynesian, and today my MDE changed and added " Make FastPass + selections" to my list of things. When I click, it shows the weeks I am there, but then I get the dreaded " one or more people must be in the timeframe" screen. However, this is new as of today.

My gut tells me that Oct 20 is when we will see them release Dec.

What does it say for Magic Bands? When you click on it what does it say?

What does it say for Magic Bands? When you click on it what does it say?

Still says "manage" for magic bands. When I click on the "make fp+selections" button it takes me to the page where I can see the calendar for my dates, and then after a minute the box pops up that says one person must be eligible. But the fact that the button changed today makes me think things are on the way.

Of course a lot of those calls might be from offsite visitors. I know that I've contacted Disney.

It's something to consider though. They have mentioned that everyone would have access to FP+ even offsite visitors in various stories and interviews. If that continues to be true and even if they only get day of visit access, Disney would have to somehow have everyone on-line and that seems like a lot of people to dump into the system during the busy holidays.

We check in Dec 15 but like you, if I click " Make FastPass + selections" Dec 18 - 23 come up. Then the " one or more people must be in the timeframe" screen comes up. Since I am more than 60 days out maybe they are working on it.(I can hope)

I still think they will eventually have to test it in peak days. And what about thanksgiving? Those days are also super busy and they will be testing it for all resorts in that period.

I was there last year, and I'll never do that to myself again!

This year I am arriving dec 1st in order to avoid super crowds, I hope.

But I want my MBs!!!
