We’re planning 10-12:30 at Typhoon Lagoon on a Saturday in early October. Questions:
1. I’ve read that they let people tap early, but then you are held at the bridge in the sun until 9:55-10am. Has this been your experience this summer (we're going on a Saturday, which I would think is the most crowded day)?

2. Would 10-12:30 be better than 2:30-5:00 in terms of crowds?

3. If we’re going to Hollywood Studios after, I assume there isn’t a direct bus from Typhoone Lagoon to the parks, or will there be? If there isn’t a direct bus, would it be better to bus to Boardwalk and walk over, or to Caribbean beach and take the gondola?

I can only answer question #1, but I went to Typhoon Lagoon yesterday (a Saturday). We tapped in at about 9:40 and went straight to the lockers to apply sunscreen and get settled. There was a bit of a crowd forming until the rest of the park opened at 10, but it wasn't particularly big and it cleared out right away.

The only direct bus from Typhoon Lagoon is to Disney Springs. Either options would work for going to HS, CB doesn't have a direct stop at the Skyliner, so you would have to go to Jamaica and then walk over. The stops are close together at DS, I would go with the first bus between the two.

Slides will be better earlier, but YMMV - we always go in August so everything usually gets shutdown due to lightning around 3pm and everyone leaves...

1. We were held up in the long entrance pathway in June.

2. There's usually an initial rush during opening, and then crowds continue to increase throughout the day, peaking in late afternoon.

3. Consider paying for an Uber to save a lot of time.

Sounds very doable! Thank you!

Good info! Makes me lean towards an Uber.

Thank you all! We’ll time it to be through the turnstiles around 9:55-10, and we’ll plan to Uber to DHS since there isn’t a really easy, direct way of getting there. Appreciate the experiences, thank you!

We were there two Saturdays ago. Arrived around 10:30 and stayed til 1. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes for anything.

Morning will be less busy. They will let you in earlier than 10 sometimes if you have a cabana booked, which would not make sense for such a short visit. Uber 100%.
