I've seen the photos of Lake Travis - in the Austin area.. Yikes! 
But that's not the reason for this thread.. Sunday night I had the Weather Channel on, but the volume was way down low and my crew was in here saying goodbye before they headed home..
They were showing a segment about snakes - loads and loads of them - that are supposedly all over the place because of the drought conditions.. They showed some kind of town/county/state worker walking around with 2 buckets and a special tool to pick up these snakes..
Is this really happening down there? Are these poisonous snakes? If so, what kind are they? Are they in people's yards - or just lots of them in the woods, around the dried up lakes and streams, etc.?
I'm terrified of snakes!
