Anyone here ever use "The Culligan Man" (hard water question)

We have rock hard water in Round Rock and I and we need to replace our water softener. Rather than buy a new one, I was thinking about renting one from Culligan and letting them maintain it. Has anyone here ever used Culligan? If not, do you have any recommendations regarding water softeners?

Yes, we rent one from Culligan - have for 12 years. We pay $12.00 month. If anything goes wrong with it, they come out and fix it for free. When the old one was too far gone to fix, they installed a brand new one, free, at the same monthly rent. We've been very satisfied with them.
