Anyone here ever seen the Golden Girls?

Love the show watched it when it was "first run" and through many many re-runs.... my sister and I laugh sometimes that we might wind up being them.... my mom, her and me living in my house in FL and relaxing on the lanai...... LOL My mom's a widow in her 80s, my sister's kids are grown, and I am divorced.......

Hi,

Used to watch that show with my mom, and found it hilerical. (hilerical = hilarious + hysterical.) Great chemistry among those four women.

Jim

I used to watch it with my mom when it was on regular tv, i'm 34.

I love to watch the reruns, that was one of the best shows on TV - and what's funny is that the main writer/creator is a man.

So many favorite ones to mention...I like the Rose Dance-a-thon one, the one where Rose and Blanche are nuns...and the one where they're writing a jingle for "Miami"

I used to watch the show when I was younger but "get" more of the jokes now. Now I know why my Mom would laugh so much!

I love the GG! I remember watching them Saturday nights when I was younger. I still watch it when ever I see it on. My favorite is the one with the artist Lazlo and all the girls want to pose for him.

I loved it too! I always loved Sophia, but I thinkI am more like Rose. :flower:

Me too!! On both counts.
My dad would go play cards Saturday nights so my mom and I would sit and watch that show together and just laugh and laugh. My mom really liked the classy put-together way that Bea Arthur's character dressed and I just loved "Sophia's" humor!! :goodvibes

My dad loves this show and it seems like it is on when I pass thru the den unless it is Bonanza or Gunsmoke.

I will be taking him with me to New Orleans shortly. I do not have cable service at my home - it will be some time before Cox is installing new connections.

You've given me a great idea to buy the DVDs of the show for him to watch. Now I just have to find him a recliner (that I can live with) and he'll be set.

Yes, that's the one...so funny. " A great place to get a seafood meal -
Mi-Ami.

Remember the one where they're all trying out for the lead part in the play and Blanche wears the "fake breasts" and they pop while hugging the actor?

How about the one where they pose nude for the sculptor?? Or where they think they're stranded on a deserted island? So many great shows, i'm going to have to buy the DVD package now.

I never watched this when it was on prime time but I watch the reruns now. I love that show.

Katholyn

Watched it when it was prime time, then watched reruns for awhile. I think I have seen them all many many times.

That show is one of my all-time favorites. I'm 28 and I love to watch it with my 84 year old grandmother. I don't know which one of us laughs more :rotfl:

That special last night was great. I love the golden girls. DH had to ask if I was okay while I was watching it last night because i was laughing so hard that i couldn't breathe. :rotfl:

Will the special be on again soon? I hate that I missed it.
