anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

I used all my flex points this weekend. I have exercised every day this week, but only for 20 minutes per day. I did do sit ups and butt crunches, too. I'm trying to tone as well as lose weight. I have got to get more aggressive with my excercise. I am in terrible shape and one of my goals in this process is to change that. DH and I were talking the other day about how we'd like to run a 5K someday. He is trying to lose weight too. He is going low carb and exercising as well. He's lost 6 lbs. in 6 days already - men have it so easy.

Anne

Looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow!

That is great! I have got to get to toning too - I'll start tonight. My legs and abs need it badly. I would love to run a race too someday. Thats great your DH is involved as well. I keep trying to get my DH to start eating healthy and exercising - hes probably 50 lbs overweight and high cholestrol to boot! Any suggestions on convincing him! I think its one of things that I think he has to realize on his own - hes got to be ready and committed.

Keep up the good work - thats awesome! Weigh in tomorrow - not sure if I lost anything but we'll see.

Hi everyone! Weekends are hard for me too. My DSis usually comes over and we generally go out to eat.....:sad2: I don't know all my points but for me portion control is a big thing. I have to be very strict about what makes a serving and what is too much. So that's what I did when we were out. I ate a late lunch and no dinner to speak of, just some 0 pt snacks.

I am prepared for this coming week though. I have my lunches planned and packed for the week. I have 2 4.5pt lunches and several 2-3 pt lunches that I'll combine with 2.5 pt sandwiches.

I have a question though. I looked up points (on dwlz.com) for lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms and it said 0.5pts each but on the guide I have it says those are 0pt items. Any one have any thoughts or suggestions? I'd love tehm to be 0 pts but I don't want to skip 1-2 pts every couple of days for a salad.

I am wearing a pair of formerly tight jeans, I used to take them off at the first possible minute but I've had them on all afternoon and evening. Proper diet and regular exercise is helping!!

Looking forward to weigh in.... can't believe I'm saying that!

I am starting Walk Away the Pounds on Monday! So hopefully that will work out well.
I LOVE her tapes!! Not that fond of her but, I love her workouts! I've exercised 5 of the last 6 days! I have QUITE the collection of Leslie. :rolleyes1

Fellow WW WISHers, I do NOT want to make your effort(s) seem ANY LESS than mine but, I WISH I HAD YOUR POINTS!!!!! :sad1: (THIS is something you/I are supposed to dream for, achieve, maintain BUT - it's REALLY HARD!!!) The more you lose, the less points you get - until maintenance, then, you're on your own, kinda, with higher points. Take heart tho, by then, you KNOW what to do but, the lbs come off harder - if/after you re-gain them. JUST MY story. ;)

I'm am TRYING again to lose - it's really HARD, after maintaining for so long. Stick with it tho, I swear, it works! :thumbsup2

It is harder the more you lose as far as points go because you do get less points. But as you mentioned by then good habits should hopefully be in place w/the occasional treat. I have 24 points and thats difficult for me.

I've lost 30 lbs over the last year and have 15 more to go (after I get rid of the 3 lbs I gained after Christmas - actually 1 now - I lost 2 lbs last week) and it gets hard the closer I get but I know its worth it. I remember back when I needed to lose the entire 45 lbs. I lost 4.5 lbs the first week (normal on WW - mostly water) - those days are gone.

There are obstacles in whatever phase of your weight loss journey - find a way over them and get ready for the next one but know you are strong enough to do it!

Hey did I mention I lost 2 lbs last week! I am going to post on the 2007 thread.

Happy weigh-in to everyone.
Joanne

Princess Michelle - Awesome job! What a way to start your weight loss. 5 lbs - that must make you feel so good! You are off to great start. Keep up the good work. You really increased the weight loss 2007 thread - Great job!

Good morning, everyone!

Well...last week was just way too cram-packed for me. I didn't even finish unpacking the kids' Christmas hauls until Friday evening. We then took an overnight trip on Saturday in celebration of DD's 8th birthday. All that to say that I didn't do very well last week with counting points and exercising. I paid attention, but I wasn't journaling and forcing myself onto that treadmill or outside each day for some exercise.

Things have calmed down now, though, and I'm back home with no out of town jaunts planned until Spring Break. Yippee!! I weighed this morning and was down 0.5 pound. Better than I expected, actually, so I'll strive towards a big loss for next Monday.

Thanks for all the tips posted thus far and congrats to those of you posting losses for the first week! Onward and downward, ladies!

Welcome back LuvMy2Sams!

Well ladies I only lost .5 but it's better than nothing!

Way to go Princess Michelle and JJand J Mom!!!!!!pixiedust:

Great job, ladies! I lost 4 lbs. last week. If I can do that a few more times I will definitely make my goal.

So far today:
Breakfast - egg (2pts), milk (2pts), whole wheat toast (1pts) - 5 pts. total
Midmorning snack - sugarfree jello (0pts.)
Lunch - 2 slices whole wheat bread (2pts), 2 tsp. low-cal mayo (1pt), lettuce and tomato (0pts), dill pickle (0pts.), fat free pudding (2pts) - 5pts. total
That gives me a total of 10 points so far for the day and leaves me 10 more points for the rest of the day.

It is a sunny, but cold day today. DH and I might go for a walk this afternoon. If not, I'll ride the exercise bike this evening.

Keep up the good work ladies!:cheer2:

Anne

Thanks Joanne! :)

luvmy2sams, NatenApril and Anne, way to go on those losses, even the small ones because a loss is a loss is a loss in my book! Good job!

Today was my first day at work doing WW and I did really good I think. I went to the gym this morning and did 30 minutes lower body strength training and 30 minutes on the treadmill so I'm happy about that.

I did find that the snacks I took today were not enough, I was way too hungry so I know now that if I work until 5pm I have to bring more.

I used 4 flex points today. We had spaghetti for dinner with garlic bread (13pts.) and I'm having a ww key lime pie for dessert, which is 4 pts.

I'm so proud of what everyone has done over the past week. Let's keep going girls, we are worth it and we can do this!

I have not been able to weigh myself yet. Need to get a new battery for our scale.
Today I had a lite yogurt for breakfast 2pts
for lunch I had a half green pepper with some ground turkey 2pts.
for dinner I had some spagetti squash with some marinara sauce and a roll 4pts.
i've been not feeling good (flu) so we'll see how the rest of the night goes.

You ladies are doing great - your meals are so interesting. Mine are so blah!!! I really need to get some good ideas - something the whole family can eat. It seems like I eat the same things over and over. I need some variety.

natenapril- Congrats on your weight loss. The small losses add up. Keep up the good work.

mom0299 - Congrats on your weight loss too! Keep up the good work.

Onward and downward.

Joanne
