Anyone here AT&T U-verse subscriber?

We are considering AT&T U-verse, but was wondering if anyone here have them, and what are your experience/review of the service - internet, tv and phone?
 
We have all three. We have only had it for a month, we got it as soon as it became available for our area. My DFIL had it for 6 months before he died and he was very happy with the service and my DS has had it for 3 months and is also happy with it.

It takes several hours for them to install it so plan on taking a whole day.

The only problem we have had so far is that it sometimes freezes, but it seems to happen in the middle of the night most of the time so I am the only one that notices it.

I love the internet. We got the second lowest tier, I think its the pro one and like it much better than the cable we use to have. I think its faster and more reliable.

The phone is OK, I do notice some clicking sounds and echos, but its not unbearable.

My first experience with the customer service wasn't great, but I just ended the call and called back. The next time I got a wonderful gal who took her time and got everything done in one call. The first person was trying to tell me they couldn't process my order until I cancelled my current cable service. I knew that wasn't right. How could I order the service on-line if I cancelled my cable service. The second person told me NOT to cancel my current cable service until after I had the new service installed so there was no break in the service.

I have recommened the service to others in our area.
 
We've had U-Verse internet and cable since January. We got it as soon as it became available in our area, as did many of our neighbors (since it was so much cheaper than our current service).

I've had no complaints. Sometimes it does freeze up and pixelate like the above poster said, but it's very rare.

The internet is very reliable and I've never had a problem with it. We did go with the fastest speed, and it's much, much faster than our old internet through the cable company.

All of my customer service calls have been great!
 
We have U-verse. The service itself is great. Customer service is absolutely terrible. The worst I've ever experienced.:confused3
 

:) it's been ok we have had it since Feb 08 - we did have the pixel problem too for a few week suddenly- they sent someone out he messed with the connections and stuff- did not help the next day a supervisor came out and said the wiring needed to be grounded to avoid interfearance :confused: I know i spelled that wrong- he attached it to a pipe in the basement and it works fine now- we had DISH network before and I probably liked it a bit better (we had 1 box that worked for all tvs (dvr) and could watch recorded shows on any tv, -At&t has boxes for all tvs and we can only record/watch recorded shows on the main tv- but its ok- we switched because we could get hd channels with att- wow does it make a difference!! internet is great too very fast- and we have always had att phone so don't know any difference :)
 
We got it as soon as it became available in Detroit. We've been very pleased with it, definitely more than we were with DirecTV which we had for many years beforehand. We've had a couple of instances where it pixalated, or one night (very late -- I was up sick) where they were updating the system and we had no service.

We've had to call customer service once and they handled the problem quickly and completely. I could NEVER say the same about DirecTV!

We pay $123 a month for our phone, TV and internet. That saves us a bunch over what we were paying for the three separately, pre-U-Verse.

We're very happy with it! :)
 
pooh4evr last week we could watch recorded tv on all our tvs. I don't know how they did it but we could we got a message from att saying we were upgraded.

We have had it for almost a year we love it. Its better than the local cable company that i refuse to deal with for bad customer service.
 
We also live in the metro Detroit area, and we have the phone and internet from U-verse. (We still have our tv through Directv.) Now that it's all settled and installed it's fine, but we had lots of customer service glitches in trying to get it set up. The internet is fast and very reliable. The phone is okay. I have had some static, and the caller ID doesn't work all the time (and on numbers that I know it should). Overall, I'm glad we have it. But honestly, it would have to get pretty bad for us to go to the trouble of switching over to something else.
