Anyone here a Palm Pilot expert?

Is anyone here an expert with the Palm Pilot??? I just got my second one, but I have a question about using 2 on the same computer. Can anyone help?

I know a little bit about Palm Pilots - but mine is kind of old Palm IIIC. We had trouble synching it w/Outlook, and after the IT person didn't come back I went to the web and figured out the problem.

Go ahead & post your problem, and hopefully someone will know how to fix it. You might also try the techie board.

My wife and I both have Palms, and we hot sync each on the PC.

OK here goes. I had a Palm IIIxe (still have I guess) and now I have just gotten a Sony Clie sj20. In the directions for the Sony it says to uninstall any other Palm Desktop software before installing this one. Is it possible for me to run both of my Palms (one will go to my husband) on the same PC? I assume the desktop programs are different, as they are different versions of the Palm OS?

Also, can I transfer my other data (3rd party software I installed) to my new Palm, or do I just have to re-install it?

Erika, I honestly have no idea about the syncing of two different versions of the Palm OS on the same computer. I did just upgrade from a IIIxe to a SJ30 not too long ago and I just beamed all the software I wanted from the one to the other. Wish I could help more but all I do know for sure is that if you have two different usernames you can keep two different Palms of the same OS on the same computer. I wish I could help more.
