I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. This started about 2 weeks ago. Every time I tried to eat I felt really nauseous and full, like the food was just sitting in my chest. Then it got to the point where that happened every time I drank something. I couldn't consume anything without feeling incredibly sick to my stomach. But I still felt hungry and never once threw up. About 11 days ago I went to the doctor, he really didn't know what could be wrong but put me on Metoclopramide. It speeds up the emptying of the sotmach contents into the intestine which reduces the back up of acid into the esophagus and relieves heartburn and pain. It's used to treat other stomach problems such as nausea, vomiting, and a feeling of fullness. I take it 3 times a day before meals which allows me to eat, but I can only eat a little bit before I feel sick. Tuesday I'm getting an upper GI done.

My question is, does anyone have ANY idea what could be wrong with me?

I wish I could answer your question. Sounds like something that happened to me a few years ago. I was on Prilosec for a few months and it helped quite a bit.

good luck with the tests. Pixie dust your way!

but I hope you find out soon. And I hope you feel better real soon too!

Marissa, I have no idea what it could be. I hope the doctors can figure it out for you and that you will feel better soon!

Get to a doctor on Monday Morning is my advice...nothing is more important than keeping yourself healthy:D

Have no idea, Marissa, but you sure are doing the right thing, seeing the doc and upper GI. That should help diagnose for sure. My best and please let us know how it goes. {{Hugs}}}

I don't have any answers for you either Marissa, but I do hope you begin to feel better soon. :( I'm glad to hear that you're having this looked into... I'm sure the drs. will have some answers for you soon. :)
