If I had the funds, we would have added on already too. And on the speculation, I don't see how the announcement could be about a new resort. They haven't even finished with SSR yet.

And if the announcement is a new DVC resort at the Contemporary, like some say, wouldn't that stop people from buying in at SSR? Folks would be waiting for the new resort, as popular as that idea appears to be on this board. I bet it will just be another incentive to add-on.

I do hope the next resort is not Eagle Pines revisted. I love a really "themed" resort. I'd love DVC at the Poly for that reason I think. You would feel totally transported!

Just curious, but does anybody know if DVC could build the Contemporary DVC and only allow current members to buy?

If they could do this then that might also boost SSR by bringing in new members who would purchase SSR just to be able to buy the Contemporary.

DVC at the Poly would be so wonderful I can't even imagine it! It would take zillions of points though, right on the Monorail...

Eagle Pines but it was announced before SSR and hasn't been mentioned in a while. The rumor is a DVC at the Contemporary Resort.

Well, actually, it's Disneyland and California Adventure. I know many people don't understand, but a few of us deviants actually prefer DL. What would you do? Well, I admit that there isn't as much to do as at WDW, but we fill our time by repeatedly riding our favorite rides.

I would looooooooove it if a DVC resort were built there!!! I'm not holding my breath, though!

While I also think there is nothing else in Southern California other than Disney, others may disagree. However, Disneyland is much more than it used to be. It no longer just Disneyland, it is Disneyland RESORT (DTD, California Adventure, 3 hotels, etc). Disney has put a lot into the Resort to make it more of a destination for longer stays, trying to make it more like WDW. We wore out our annual passes, staying 5 nights about 3 times a year. I do think DVC is a bit of a stretch for Disneyland, but I am sure DVC would do very well there. I would jump on it.

Disneyland park itself equals WDW as a whole. Hard to pick a favorite, apples and oranges.

Yeah, they should be coming soon. I thought we'd have already gotten the Vcation Magic by now. I will be my 1st one so I'm looking forward to it. I know the last couple of months I've gotten the Member Clubhouse the 1st of the month, so we should get it this week.

of course my first thought was - hmmm well if it takes time for the announcement and build I can start saving now. Our first purchase and subsequent add-on were supposed to be it - well that's what I said at the time. So I'm on my own for another add-on. There may be a market for California though - they are planning to build another cruise ship so perhaps the market there is looking great to them and DVC Cali is an option. Being selfish I hope not.
