Holly cow, we just got a letter from a credit service saying we owe this baking company $62 and then $40 interest on it at 12% since 1994. I don't even know what the company is. I looked it up on the net and got a phone number for it and called. It was a 800 sex phone number:scared1: About the only info I could get was that wonder bread bought them out in like 95. Um how long do these people have to try to collect. Come on Like you couldn't find my DH We have been living in this house sence then. I am thinking it is his sister same In. and last name. He used to get a lot of her stuff on his credit report. His name is Don and hers is Donna. So one more thing I get to do tommorrow as if I didn't have enough allready. Any ideas or advise, thanks

Sounds like it may be a scam.

I would call the company that sent you the notice and ask them to explain themselves and provide proof of the debt, though I would highly suspect it is a scam designed to separate you from your money.

contact the company for proof of services provided in a form of the original debt. If they are not able to provide that information tell them they must send you a letter negating the debt letter they sent you....

I have had this happen and it was a company that purchased old debts. When they purchase them they do not know if the debt is legit or not. If they do not have a copy of the originally debt paperwork they are SOL....

Good Luck, these calls are usually headache material...;)

Oh by the way are you sure it wasnt' Continental Banking Company... Like a typo?
