Hi there,

We are moving on the 8th of January (still lots to pack:rolleyes: ) and we need to drive 13 hours to our new home. I have two 10yr old cats that I don't want to stress out too much and was wondering if I should sedate them for the trip.

I have heard of giving Gravol to help them sleep but was wondering what my options were.

Has anyone done this or used something different?

Thanks for any advice. (I can't get an appointment with a vet here before we go so I'm on my own...)

Samantha If I were you I'd telephone the Vet's office and just ask over the phone. Good luck with your move especially with your kitties!:D

Also just giving you a little *bump*!;)

I'm sure that she'll be back:D . I think that she was recently outraged (as was I) by the GROSS insensitivity of a number of DISers to those with psychiatric disorders.........:(

I was going to suggest what sammi said. I would call your vet. If it is a medication that I can give my pets myself, my doctor will just have it ready for me to pick up. If your vet won't help you out over the phone, I might suggest trying and calling a few other local vets to see what they can do. I know my vet would be able to get an appointment in between now and the 8th as well so I am sure some local vet will be able to help you.
