Has anyone seen the latest ATA news http://www.ata.com/about_ata/news/20051101.pdf . In a nutshell, effective 1/10/06 they will no longer offer service from/to Indianapolis, Denver or San Juan. I knew they were having MAJOR financial difficulties, but Indy is their home :confused3 ! I was VERY close to booking our Spring Break flights with them as the price was good and I have flown them many, many times in the past. I think it's really sad that they will no longer be Indy's hometown airline :sad1: .

Being from Muncie we have flown ATA many times over the years. It's sad that they won't fly out of IND anymore. We still have three airlines that fly N/S to MCO, SWA, NWA and Trans Air.

we always took the 8am n/s flight out of Indy to get to Orlando. This year we took Northwest. It just wasn't the same. We will really miss ATA.

I loved taking that 8am flight, being in the parks by lunch time. On our departure day, having an 8pm flight meant I could get a full day at WDW in before returning to reality. We flew NWA this summer and our flight out of Indy was almost 2 hours late taking off with no explanation :confused3 . Nothing like starting your trip off on a bad note :rolleyes1 ! I still have a credit to use with NWA, but as long as SWA offers their fantastic fares ($161 RT N/S for us over Spring Break  !), I think I've found my new airline of choice :cheer2: !
