Hi all, I have yet another DVC resale question.

While I would prefer to deal with The Timeshare Store, they do not have what I am looking for in their inventory. Has anyone ever done business with
http://www.atimeshare.com/ ? They have been a member of the BBB for 3 years, & no negatives have been recorded, but I am still nervous. :worried:

I have never heard of them, but if they are a legitamate company with the BBB(which you should make sure they really are), then you might give them a call and see what they have.

That's Jaki. I have personally not used her, but all of the reports I've heard about her have been positive. My impression is that she is one of three brokers who know what they are doing -- with TTS being by far the largest, both in terms of sales volume and inventory.

Hopefully, some of the folks who have dealt with Jaki directly will give you some feedback.

I take that back, I have spoken to Jaki for my sister(now that I looked at your link) and I have had other people praise her before. She is a legit company and very professional. My sister was going to buy from her, but got rofr once and decided not to buy. She is usually pretty up on what might pass rofr and the contract my sister bid on was not that great.

She is legit--I have bot contracts from her before.

That said, I have also bot contracts via The Timeshare Store -- and in complete honesty, TTSS is alot more professional. My future purchases will be made via The Timeshare Store.

Thanks for the info. I too would rather deal with TTS, but they do not have what I need currently. Jaki is not my agent, **** is.

I am happy to know that they are legit. Now if I could just figure out the right price to make it past ROFR..........................

I bought one of my timeshares from Jaki, and have nothing but good things to say about her! She and her assistant are very nice and professional. It took a month from start to finish, and her prices were ALOT lower than Timeshare Store. They have gone up slightly since last summer, but they are still low. Also, I liked that she was willing to put in a lower offer than she thought was wise, just because I wanted her to. As a result, I got 270 pt OKW for $75 with banked points. I was more willing to take a risk on ROFR because I have other contracts, and she respected that. She has a great business sense, and we had several very interesting conversations on timeshares in today's world.

Cruelladeville, my problem is I am not a current member, so offering 75 I do not think would work for me.

I used Timeshare Only to purchase mine and they were fine.
I liked them because they seemed to have a larger inventory and better deals then Timeshare Store.

I bought Saratoga for about $75/pt. Best deal that I saw.

Were you a member, or a non-member?

csmommy, I have seen you so often on this site that I was sure you were already a member! :) As a member, I can be more agressive than you would want to be, perhaps, but Jaki will still get you a good contract. You just would be more afraid of ROFR than I was, so you might not want to go quite as low on an offer as I did. Her prices are lower than TTS, though, so you will get a good deal whether you are a current member, or not. :thumbsup2

OK, holding my nose & jumping in! :jumping1:

I was a non-member when I negotiated my price. Remember, EVERYTHING is negotiable! Never be too afraid to go low assuming you are okay with giving up that deal, but there are alot of other deals. That's why I went low. My agent also helped me negotiate with the sellers to get me the deal. So I lucked out. :rotfl:

We bought our resale contract (OKW) from A Timeshare.com and were very happy with the process.

csmommy....like you, we looked at a couple of the companies and ended up buying a resale contract with Jaki Apetz.

She was professional, yet very friendly and a couple of times downright chatty! She was in constant contact throughout the purchase process and let me know as soon as the contract cleared Disney's Right of First Refusal. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone based on my experience with her. :thumbsup2

If I can throw in here how good ******** is at ***********....she helped us through our first DVC purchase and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend her.

So...any reason why I can't post about another company on here? This makes no sense....

We purchased two contracts through Jaki Apetz and have also dealt with **** in that office. I have nothing but praise for them . The prices were lower at the time than the TSS (we purchased in 2003 & 2004). She was also recommended by a friend which meant a lot to us. Both times we offered the asking price because we felt it was fair and she had cautioned us that we might meet with ROFR if we offered lower and we really wanted the contracts. We found her office to be both responsive and professional. Good Luck!
