Anyone having trouble with sr/qr surveys the past 2 days?

Tricia I did another survey and I'm almost positive it's from the same company that did the Ambien CR. Nielson I believe. I realized it when I got to the end and the question was: How long did it take to complete the survey? That is where the Ambien one said you didn't qualify and it's at the very end.
So I remembered--and copied the url before I hit next and sure enough it said I didn't qualify. This one was for pain and pain relievers
Here's the url from that page

The other day I tried a survey and got all the way to the end and as it was redirecting to the "completed" page, the whole thing crashed and I got a "database error" message. So no credit for that one.

Then for the last three days, I couldn't even get to a survey. I'd put in my information and then it would come up with "It appears you have already completed this survey" then take me to the SR "You don't qualify" page.

Then today I finally got connected to a survey that I completed -- it even said "Thank you for participating in this research, blah blah blah." The last question asked if I thought the survey was a good use of my time. I said yes, clicked "submit your survey" and then got the SR page about "it appears you did not qualify." Arggggghhhhh. It was a Nielsen survey about pain.

I'm always clearing cookies, waiting 24 hours, etc. and whatnot so I know the problem isn't on my end.

I'm just done. For awhile I was doing these pretty regularly and getting credit for most. But now it's down the tubes. I really have better things to do with my time than this for .60 cents (or even .75). I'm self employed so I can make a whole lot more money for Disney doing more work for clients than messing with this system which is so obviously broken.

Sorry for the rant. I know most people here love SR and don't like to hear the negatives - -and I like shopping through SR as they give credits fast and accurately -- but the survey thing needs some serious help. Just my .02.

:(

I'm sorry to read such harsh criticism. I agree that .75 isn't much to get for surveys when you are not sure that they will even work. And I'm sure that you can make a lot more money at your real job. But the thing is, not everyone can. I have pretty much two choices with the Daily Surveys--I can keep them on the site, warts and all. Or I can get rid of them completely. If the members would like me to get rid of them, I will do that. I've just had so many emails from SAHMs, retired people, etc. who say that these surveys each day add up for them and help them provide little extras for their families. That's why I have kept them on the site. I have no control at all over their systems, and they are the only people that run the surveys. Every rewards program that has daily surveys uses the same company.

I don't like seeing people so upset with SR. If the majority of the members want me to ditch these surveys, I will do it. I can put up a special vote on the site if everyone would like. Would that help the hard feelings?

Please don't scrap the surveys. In the past 3 months there has only been 4 or 5 days that I have not completed (and gotten paid for) a survey.

Here, again, is a case of a few bad apples etc etc. Most of the surveys from Greenfield are legit. BUT... I do believe that their are a couple of companies, Neilsen (believe it or not) being one of them, that try to get their research done for free.

I now can recognize a bad survey very early on and I reject THEM before they reject ME! They can get their free info elsewhere. Here are a couple of hints. Reject ANY survey that says Neilsen and if you see the "Dreaded Penguin" you are going to be scammed 9 out of 10 times! TURN IT OFF! There are a couple of other red flags that come up at times but they are harder to explain.

I totally agree. I would hate to see the surveys go. I manage to get about 5 surveys done a week. At 60 cents a pop, that will add up nicely. The way I look at it, why not make a few bucks a day with surveys and free signups, while I am just sitting there watching tv anyway. There is no way you could replace an income by doing these surveys. But, it sure is a nice supplement.

Oh, and I agree about Nielsen! I just tried to take one of their surveys last night. After answering pages of questions, I was told I did not qualify. But, right after that the next survey I tried, I did qualify for. So, that's another 75 cents to add to my pot.

I don't want to quit the surveys Tricia, nor do I want you to get rid of them. I hope it didn't sound like that. You had just mentioned that greenfield would like to know which ones aren't working so it seems that the problem child of the survey world is Nielsen. If I see the penguin or Nielsen I'll just reject them first. Sorry if I upset you or anyone, it wasn't my intention.
Happy & Safe Holiday weekend to all

No worries here! I do like the specific feedback about which surveys didn't work that I can give back to Greenfield. I have a hard time figuring out what percentage of people who try to take the surveys are 1) getting qualified, and 2) getting the credits. So I'm totally open to suggestions on whether they are actually working out for people.

IMO...the surveys are a choice we can make at SR, not a stipulation to use the site. It's free except for our time. Granted someone can make money at a "real job" but even some of us who have a real job, work SR to help us with obtaining personal goals of vacations, shopping, etc without taking from the household account.
If someone decides not to do a survey...Great for them
If someone decides to do a survey...Great for them too.

If we get paid...WONDERFUL that is free money. Didn't cost us a dime to take a survey.
If we don't get paid...darn it, it happens...but the only thing we are out is a lil bit of time.

Tricia...please don't pull them or even put it to a vote. The choice is up to each individual sunshine user if they want to take the chance and take a survey. Even if only 1/2 of the surveys go through ...in a month that is $9.00(30 days in a month X .60 a survey divided by 2) more added to our accounts. In a course of a year that is $108.00...that's a lot of Mickey bars :) that I will beable to enjoy while at WDW

I just did that exact same survey about 20 minutes ago and had the same thing happen to me.

I've been having lots of issues with surveys... can't qualify, and when I do I often get to the very end and all the sudden don't qualify? WTH? So frustrating. I happened to me 2x today like that. The Nielson one and another one on online purchasing.

That said, I have a love/hate relationship with the surveys on SR. Love the easy extra money. Now if only I'd not get those "do not qualify" pages after doing it I'd be happy. I can handle not qualifiying from the get go, but getting 1/2 to all the way through and not qualifying is really annoying.

I have a love/hate relationship with the surveys on SR too. That said...I still like the opportunity to participate when I have the time and inclination.

In my opinion, nothing is guaranteed in the rewards process, wnd while I may not like the fact that I may not get credited for something on SR or elsewhere it is still always a gamble I take.

I don't think I will stop complaining when credits don't come through as it help to vent, isn't that partly why message boards and forums do so well??

Tricia, I wonder if it would make sense to have a separate thread at SR and maybe here where members could post about SPECIFIC surveys where problems like those listed above keep happening. Then it would prevent others from taking those particular surveys that are causing problems. It might also give you a head's up on specific surveys causing trouble, or specific survey company's survey creating a problem to report back to the survey company. Just a thought.

I'm going to post this over on the SR forum as well, to make sure you see it.

I got a dreaded penguin survey. I've got to remember 'reelresearch' along with nielson are the ones that say you don't qualify on the last question. Just an FYI

there is one I need to remember that I'll do about half before it knocks me out. I know the way it looks but that doesn't help yall out at all! I remember nielso being bad as well.
