Anyone having trouble printing their Southwest boarding passes?

I am trying to print out my boarding passes. I am exactly 24 hours out (probably 23 1/2 hours by now) and when I put in my confirmation # and name, it tells me that I have to check in at the podium. I can't check in early. Has this ever happened to any of you?

I believe that means you've been picked for "extra" security, but as others on here will tell you, they may or may not have had the more thorough screening. Could be your name is the same/similiar to someone on the TSA's list. I'd just plan on showing up at the airport early so hopefully you'll still have a shot at an "A" pass.

You're right. Evidently, my son and I have a name similar to someone on their "watch list". If I have to go through this every time, I don't think I'll be using them again.

Unfortunately, from what I have readits not SWA but TSA that puts out the watch list so you will likely get the special screening no matter what airline you fly. Of course since most other airlines give pre-assigned seats that may be a better option if you know your going to get the flag.

FWIW I have also read that by using your middle initial or even your middle name when booking can help in the future.

Yep, sounds like you are scheduled for a SUPER SCREENING! Don't worry, get to the airport early and you will be fine. And like another poster said, it has NOTHING to do with SWA, it's a TSA thing!!!
