Anyone having a Wedding or VR on the Alaskan Cruise?

We are currently planning our wedding on the Alaskan Cruise this summer in August. We just paid our deposit a couple of weeks ago and are in the process of planning the details. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Oh wow that’s so exciting!

Please excuse how silly might questions might sound but coming from Australia I haven’t travelled in cold climates very much and I’m really interested in a VR on the Alaskan Cruise

• Are you able to have your ceremony outside?
• How cold is it really?
• Are there other differences to other DCL weddings?
• Do you have any kind of off ship photo opportunity?
• Are you taking your own photographer?

We can if the weather permits, if it's raining we'll be moved inside. We are planning on the back deck (its on deck 7). Otherwise we will be in the outlook lounge which I hear has floor to ceiling windows so we'll be able to take in the view.
• How cold is it really?
From what I've read, temps should be in the high 60's (F) according to the averages

• Are there other differences to other DCL weddings?
I don't think there are any differences except the scenery
• Do you have any kind of off ship photo opportunity?
I don't believe so unless you have your own photographer to take pictures in the ports.
• Are you taking your own photographer?

We are not taking a photographer due to the cost of the trip. This cruise is much more expensive than the bahama cruises we usually take with DCL. I think we are going to use the Disney photographer to get some pics and then my brother will follow us on the ship to try to get more pics while we are still in our wedding attire.

It would not be until August 2014, which sounds like a long way off but coming from OZ our group would need at least 12 months to plan/save. We were married on the Magic in the Caribbean so I thought a DCL VR would be fitting and I love the idea of Alaska
