DH was thinking of a buggy board attatchment for DS5 when we go. You know, the little standing platform with wheels that attatches to the back of the stroller. The problem is that they are expensive-- $70 or so and we wouldn't need it again.

Well, one of these strollers just came up on my local craigslist for $25. Here's a link to a picture: http://members.tripod.com/hipmaman-ivil/id2.html It looks to be in great shape and has a full size board on the back for DS to stand on. We have twin 2 year olds and are looking to pick up strollers for each of them for the trip and thought this might be a good one because DS 5 could hitch a ride if he needed to.(We tried the Pliko with the small foot steps and DS 5 was not comfortable.)

Just wondering if anyone knows the weight limit for the back footboard and if you liked the stroller. I cannot find details anywhere on this stroller as it is an older model.

I have a 2001 Peg Perego Pliko with a footboard. It is great and is still in great shape. I have an older DD who rode on it until she was 50 lbs or so (I don't know what the weight limit is, but it can get difficult to push with a heavy child). For your purpose, it sounds like a great deal if it is in good shape. Try asking Peg Perego (web site) for the weight limit or posting here (lots of knowledgeable people)...

I have one, but I would never ever lug it on an airplane, the thing is huge and heavy and not that easy to fold.

It is a great stroller for outdoors, but a real PITA to fold and put in the car.

The total weight limit on these is 90 lbs., seat, footboard, plus whatever was in the basket. The seat itself is rated for 40 lbs.

Knowing that, you might look for a used Pliko (old name) or P3 (new name). It folds compactly and fits well in the trunk of a car. It stands by itself (nice for the WDW buses), and a child can stand on the back. It is relatively lightweight (not super lightweight, but, with the compact fold and a side handle, it is easy to "man handle").

Or maybe you can find the standing board attachment used (try that Stroller Swap board).

I have a sit-n-stand and an older Graco tandem and are both pains to lug around (and quite frankly, to steer). Luckily, we are planning on driving and DH does the folding/unfolding so I'm not too worried about that part. I just don't want to have one of the twins in the seat and my older DS on the footboard and have a wheel fall off or bend an axle. :scared: I'm thinking they should total about 80 pounds at the time we go.

Apparently, it does stand on it's own, right? :confused3

I guess for $25 I should just go for it. Thanks everyone for the info.
