Anyone have the new pirate menu???

As long as your rotation doesn't start with Lumiere's, you will only be in there twice (on a 7 day). You have 3 mights in the restaurant you visit first. Maybe you could schedule a Palo visit on one of your Lumiere nights so you only go once.

Sorry, just re-read your post and see you are ahead of me on the Palo idea!

Which rotation has you in Lumieres the least?? The last time we were in thre for 3 dinners and that is my very least favorite restaurant!! I don't even like any of the food served there the first night...that will for sure be my Palo night!

I thought you only ate from their menu one during your rotation. The other nights would be "theme" night menus that everyone would be served regardless of the restaurant?

What didn't you like about the restaurant? Was it just the themeing/atmosphere?

I don't care for Animator's Palate - no windows, low ceiling. Not sure why the poster doesn't care for Lumieres, but to each his own!!

Paul - tropicali/mexicali is whatever night we have scheduled for Palo - we'll talk more later on a PM about this one!!!

AP is my least favorite, too.

I'm with you Rae. Animator's Palate is my least favorite restaurant of the three. The menu was fine but I really didn't like its lack of windows and the low ceilings. On our cruise last week it was a bit warm and stuffy - like the AC was overtaxed by the tropical heat. And I, for one, was not overly impressed by "the show".

I think the show is nice and entertaining background for dinner. If you expect too much, you'll be disappointed. But otherwise, I like it for what it is.

It seems to be the most crowded of the restaurants also - I wonder if the square footage is less than the others or maybe it's just the room appears that way.

Remember you can always ASK the head servers at embarkation to make changes (Dining Room Changes) and they are very accomodating. This is where you can make sure you have your reservations linked with others, try to get a special server as yours, and try to change your rotation. Keep in mind that they are not magicians and can only do so much - but they are great people who will do what they can to help!!

You do only eat from their menu the one day and thats the day I don't like anything they have there. I just didn't care for the whole atmosphere there, there really was NO atmosphere actually!. I like PC the best.

I was surprised to find on our last cruise that I liked AP the worst in (though there were SOME good menu items there), especially in terms of the restaurant set up. We had fantastic tables at both Lumiere's and Parrot Cay, so that might have also had something to do with it (window tables in both, though I always sat with my back to the window because I generally didn't like seeing the sea rush by when we were at sea). I was very disappointed in the Mexicali dinner, so I am definitely looking forward to trying the new menu.
