Anyone have skin tags?

Man I have one right below the bottom eyeliner area. DH has them everywhere and gets them removed.
Bleech...skin is rebelling.

Here's a weird one for you -- I got a bunch when I was pregnant. I had them removed (except for one small one on my scalp that would've required shaving my hair in that spot). Since then I haven't gotten anymore--knock on wood.

I have one right where my neck and shoulder meet and it drives me CRAZY!!! It's in the perfect spot for the collar of my shirt to rub on it. DH said he would take it off for me (he's a Nurse Practictioner) but I'm kind of chicken to let him do it. Maybe I'll try the duct tape.

I found one in my "feminine area" when I was in college. I went to the OB/GYN and he told me that it is NOT a wart, but a skin tag. So according to that doctor, there is a difference.

I didn't realize so many of us have these! I too have snipped them off with scissors. Sometimes they hurt and I just have to take them off ASAP! I have a bunch on my neck, but they are too small for me to take care of. I'm going to ask my doctor (when I have the courage to go) and ask about this cream people are talking about.

The cream is Aldara cream , it's prescribtion, but my insurance covers it. . We tried EVERYTHING from freezing , to cutting them off , but this we used for three weeks every night and washed off in the morning and it worked!! Ask the dermatologist ,My mom had the same things on her neck and this helped her too. My dd who is 9 had anywhere from 5 to 10 on her face at a time, the poor little thing hated getting them frozon off.

With as many people posting on this thread, and you KNOW there are more just "lurking" and not posting, I'm gonna go out and buy stock for the company that makes this stuff! They won't be able to keep this stuff on the shelves!

I can see this big run on Aldara cream because, face it, how many of us discuss "skin tags" with our friends???? And now that we know what we can do or at least TRY to do something about them!!!!

sharon a, actually from what i have heard (and seen on "pregnancy for dummies") getting skin tags during pregnancy is somewhat common.

I think you are all brave for discussing this, while most folks would just keep it to themselves. Helps to know there are others dealing with life's little oddities. You deserve a prize!

My mother always had them and I thought they were so gross.

I got them with both of my pregnancies.
