Anyone have recent pictures of VB?

We added on 4 days to the end of our WDW vacation in October and are excited about going back, again.

Just felt like looking at some pictures of VB. I thought someone might have some recent ones or a link to some.

These may be old hat for some, but maybe a few of you will enjoy seeing them. It is so miserable here in NH today, raining, 50 degrees, gloomy... even the overcast skies at Vero a year ago look great to me!

Here is the ocean from in front of the main lodge area:

Then turning around 180 degrees...

This one is not so clear, but you can see the 2 balconies you'd get with a 2 BR - we were on the 2nd floor, so the balcony in the center of the shot, and the one on the right were ours for the living room and 2nd bedroom, respectively. Come to think of it, I think our master bedroom opened up to the left balcony, too. Instead of the railing that is on the top floor, our balcony was surrounded by the roof style material:

In the center of the building was a huge open atrium area, lush and beautiful. Here is my DM from across that garden area:

Finally, so you know you can fit a family for a meal in a 2BR, here we are having some wine before dinner...

Hope this gives you all a taste of VB, and a break from the rain for all you New Englanders out there!

I love your pictures!! I noticed you stayed at Royal Pacific Resort.

What did you think of it. We would love to stay there sometime.

Do you always stay in a 1br at VB?

We always stay in an ocean view inn room but thought we might do something different this time. The beach cottage is booked.

I'd love to hear more about your stay at RPR.

Yes, the secret is out about VB.

I wish someone would cancel their beach cottage for the days we want it.


What has been everyone's experiences re: the beach cottages. Do they usually all book up months in advance-even if we are going at a slow time?

We are going to call at the 11 month window for next July and get a Beach Cottage. I will call day by day, just to make sure.
We have only stayed in a 1BR so far at VB, we are trying the Ocean view Inn Room for this July.
Since there are only 6 Beach Cottages at VB, it is probably very hard to get them at peak times(x-mas,Easter, summer) with out the 11 month window. At slow times I would guess to say you won't know until you

Rats,mice,ants,turtles,crabs,spiders,sharks,jellyfish,noseeums,mosquitos,narrow beach,murky water,pricey food,natural dune blocking the ocean, humidity, too far from the airport, treasure hunters driving you crazy with their metal detectors , all the chairs are taken at the pool, locals crashing the party. Is that better
