I apologize for the late reply. Yes just the two of us! We did try the fireplace - it is gas and does not put out any heat, strictly for 'atmosphere'. And it's two sided! Our view was pretty darn near perfect! We had a fantastic view of the MK fireworks at night and the monorail. Very quiet, very peaceful. Our first time in these cabins, but definitely not our last! Were there just the two of you in the Cabin? Did you ever use the fireplace, and if so, how was it? What kind of view did you have?
No, unfortunately there's a little island that blocks the view of the parade, although we could hear it.Wow, love the view. Could you see the EWP?

Yes, there's a handrail. And the first step/ledge is about a foot down. Hope this photo helps.Wow, what a great view! I am curious about the hot tub. I would request an accessible cabin, but wondering if I could get in/out of a non accessible hot tub. I can use most, however found that BWV (clown pool area) has a huge step down and didn't dare even try. Is there a handrail? THANKS!!
We just stayed for 2 nights, wish we had stayed more! We had a bunch of points available since we hadn't traveled to WDW for several years, so we decided to splurge. And I agree with you, it was by far our favorite DVC stay yet! We did nothing other than go out to eat, relax, and take walks. Sitting on the screened porch, waving at passing boats, while listening to the music (and for those who don't know, the MK fireworks soundtrack is piped in each night) and having an adult beverage - just heaven!!No questions but I just want to add we stayed in a cabin for two nights a couple of years ago and it stands as my favorite DVC accommodations ever (and we’ve stayed everywhere except Aulani, Saratoga, and Beach Club!).
Glad you had a good time!
8004 - very close to the walkway to the parking lot. Very quiet, perfect location! What a great view!! Do you remember which cabin you had?
I believe it's accessible, attaching a photo that may help. Actually I remember thinking the whole cabin seemed very roomy and accessible. Have a great time!I do have a quick question. I may be attending a gathering at one of the cabins next year. Do you know if they all have a barrier-free entrance? I use a wheelchair but don’t really need an accessible cabin because I’d only be there for a few hours. But I’d obviously at least need to get in the front door. Thanks!
It does have a barrier free entrance. I toured a cabin in an ECV last year. However, I hope your wheelchair isn't wider than my ECV was. I found that the hallways and bathroom were very narrow and hard for me to negotiate. Unfortunately, that's the one reason why I'd be very hesitant to stay at the cabins. Otherwise, it was beautiful!I do have a quick question. I may be attending a gathering at one of the cabins next year. Do you know if they all have a barrier-free entrance? This cabin is closer to the WL side not the BRV side correct? How close was it to the boat?I believe it's accessible, attaching a photo that may help. Actually I remember thinking the whole cabin seemed very roomy and accessible. Have a great time!
