Anyone have problems taking their kids outta school for vacation?

Well, I am one of these "babies" that gets the whole summer off to do nothing. Why do people always say this? Yes, but we are only paid for 10 months of work. That is teacher salaries are so low. Threads like this turn into such teacher and school bashing.

I don't understand why teachers have become the enemy. I did not become a teacher to make the lives of my students and their parents difficult. I teach because I love working with kids.

That being said, I think parents should have the right to take their children on vacation whenever it works best for them.
