Maybe it's just based on when we joined. We joined in 2002 and we have it.

I'm not sure what the requirement is. We have 449 points all purchased direct from Disney, have been members since 1997 and have made multiple referrals. I suspect the ones who have it are somewhat random. Maybe they took those already into their new use year? My use year ends next month.

The sidebar of the booking page lists your available points by UY, and reminds you of key dates (when is the farthest out date in your 11- and 7-month windows). It also has the following tips.

Booking Tips
If you need to bank Vacation Points in order to book a specific Resort, this needs to be done before you can book online.

You can only check availability at your Home Resort during the Home Resort Period, but you can search any Disney Vacation Club Resort if you're looking for a reservation 7 months or less from check-in.

Returned Resort offers will include availability at your selected Resort as well as alternatives that may interest you. Availability is continuously updated and subject to change.

We got in. Last name B with 250 points. I didn't book anything, just looked at a few reservations we were thinking of making.
I have to say I like the options. Hope it can stay around without any problems.

Just curious, but anyone with transferred in points have the link? Transferred in points never showed up online in points summaries. Hopefully we will be able to see them in the booking system.

I have transferred points, but no link yet. The transferred points are a different UY so I can't see the them on the summary or the activity detail.

I asked member services about booking these points online and I was told that I may have to call member services to booked them.

I will be anxious to know the answer to this question, too.

Don't need to book anything till the 31st when i am going to take a shot at the Grand Californian. Can you book online with borrowed points?

Didn't have it first thing this morning, but now it's there. Fun to play with.

I like how if you request a studio it gives you the availability of other room sizes as well. And I noticed if there was a request for a week, and only say, 4 days were available and they were split by a non available night, you can book the days on either side of that night and wait list the other one.

I wonder, though, how easy it w/b to change reservations. We alternate between studios and 1 bedrooms, esp at VGC where either can be hard to get, and sometimes book 1 then change to the other.

It's interesting to see how at VGC the dates through the 7 month window are basically all gone, but once you hit the 11 month exclusive booking window, things open up.

We have the link. Last name either St or Do... (I kept my maiden name, but think my name (St) is the first listed and used for DVC). UY is April, 445 pts., joined in 2010. Looks quite easy to use. I did a test run and it pulls up resort room options much like the regular Disney resort reservations page. Too bad I have nothing to book til December! (But at least we have two trips planned prior to then!). I love how my points for the 2011 and 2012 years are "0"! We clearly borrow more than bank!

I didn't see where it said the hours you can book. I hope for consistency they keep it to member services. Or I'll be up at odd hours trying to book our next vacation... much like getting up at 5am to book for the Royal Table breakfast!

We have it! I played around with it and it seems very easy to use! Too bad I don't have to book anything! I called MS yesterday to make a reservation for a friend and while I thought about waiting til today to do it, I was afraid to wait!

It will be interesting to see how it handles our points. We have multiple contracts and yesterday the CM asked me which points she wanted me to use from what contract. I wonder if we will have that option when booking online. It doesn't appear to be set up that way. But...that's OK--if I have to make a call for something like that, I'll take it! I love poking around and checking availability!

And for the record, if anyone is keeping track--last name starts with F and we have 681 points, 2 home resorts and joined in 1997.

Out of curiosity I tried checking availability outside the 7-month window for a non-home resort and (just as when you call MS) it will not show anything. I get an error message that I am outside the booking window for the resort I am requesting. Seems fair since I couldn't book it anyway and availability will change before the 7-month window opens.

Overall it looks nice. I do need to book something but need to cancel another reservation first to free up the necessary points. I haven't seen any way to cancel an existing reservation so I guess I need to call MS for that.

ETA: I like the display of one's available points over on the right. Click on the UY and it shows how many points you have available in each contract. Very nice!

I did not have it earlier today, but it is there now. Looks great. Wonder how it will hold up when everyone is hitting it for Christmas / Easter break. I can forsee times when it comes back with availability and by the time you choose it, it is gone. It happened to me one time on a call with MS.
