Anyone Have Motion Sickness?

Dramamine is an over the counter medication for motion sickness and there is also a patch that I think is prescription only.

You can get Dramamine at Schwab's Pharmacy in the Hollywood section of USF. Take it about an hour before getting on a ride.

Dramamine can make you VERY sleepy. We find that Bonine works better. You can get it at any drug store over the counter.

I use "ginger" tablets that you can find in any "health food store" in the vitamin section.
Works for me...safe, no drowsiness etc.

I swear by Bonnine...I take a half a pill every 24 hours and it takes care of seasickness and motion sickness from upside-down coasters.

I take one Bonnine ever 24 hours. That makes me drowsy too (so does Dramamine), so what I do is, start taking it about 2 days before my trip, so by the time I go, my system is used to it and causes no more side effects! Works like a charm.

I have noticed however that it does nothing for the dizziness that can sometimes happen after a ride on an upside down roller coaster. So I have to bide my time between rides.

Also, if I'm overly tired, I find I may need a second pill. Something about not getting enough sleep adds to the nausea problem.

Meclazine (sp) can be bought at any pharmacy. You don't need a prescription. It's cheap and doesn't make you drowsy or give you dry mouth.
