I know this was asked a while back, but I'd like an update. It would make my son's KTTW more secure to have it on his lanyard!

When the charging priviledges were removed from my son's kttw card, the CM at Guest Services automatically punched a hole in the card. I think that is their way of knowing the card cannot be used to charge.

And, I don't see any problem with the hole in the card as long as it is nowhere near the metalic strip.

I know at the parks, we tell guests to not punch a hole into their KTTW card, and DCL uses the exact same cards.

I have read that Walmart sells a lanyard with a plastic holder that you can slide an ID card in. Most people say they are under $2. they also sell them on the ship with a DCL logo, but I think those are $6 or $8.

you guys are quick! I've tried finding the Walmart thing, but couldn't find my left foot in our Walmart and the employees I asked looked at me like I was from Mars. I guess DS doesn't need to charge anything anyway!

I was just on the 10/11 Magic and I punched a hole in my KTTW card. I just made sure that it wasn't on the magnetic strip and that it was on the right end, so that I could use it in the door. I think that Tinkerbell goes into the door, so the other end to punch is fine.
