Polar Express is seasonal so will be back next November around thanksgiving. It is open once the bridge is opened and runs all day until the park closes.
If you go to you tube do a search for Polar Express at Sea World and there are some good videos to give you an idea of the ride.
It is free with admission to park.
How long does it take? I am thinking 15 minutes at most for the ride part. You can spend as long as you want with the walrus, whales, and polar bears. There is a great room for family photos with Christmas trees and packages and a photo op with Santa. It is a good experience.
Taking the ride Wild Arctic and turning it into Polar Express for 40 days or so is really awesome. The theming is really well done and a favorite place to go at Christmas for my family now.
During the Christmas season there is also a special Christmas Shamu show. Week of Christmas through the 31st is very busy so you have to expect lines-even to get in the huge stadiums for shows so allow at least a half hour before showtime for each show, listen for closings of the stadiums. Have been there when the stadiums were closed an hour to hour and a half before a scheduled show. Also listen to see if park is adding shows later in the day.
Polar Express is an overlay of the Wild Arctic simulator ride. They have a different movie and a whole different feel like you're going thru a train station into a train. They use clips from the movie.
Only offered for the holiday season. We really enjoyed it!
