Just got an email that I had miles with them that I had forgotten all about. Anyone have experience with them that can explain it to me? I wanted to book a one way ticket but appears this is not allowed with reward travel on continental.

also, what is the difference between easy pass and saver pass? the miles needed are double for saver pass. what is the advantage?

How many miles do you have?
Most frequent flyer miles expire if your account has no activity for a designated period of time but Continental OnePass has not invoked that.
All the rules can be found at: www.onepass.com

There is no advantage to one over the other. The difference is that easypass (or SleazyPass) is that there are no capacity controls. Basically you pay double the miles to book whatever flight you want, only you can decide if it is worth it. Most frequent flyers value a FF miles at $.02 per mile. So if you want to book a round trip saver ticket on Continental then the ticket would need to be valued at ~$500 for a 25,000 mile round trip saver ticket. So if you were to book the same ticket with SleazyPass miles the ticket would need to be valued at over $1,000 dollars.

Value is a relative. I would never bother cashing in miles for a cheap Orlando ticket if I could save the miles for a European trip later on.

Good luck trying to get a saverpass reward to anywhere interesting when you want to go. With CO one of the best ways I've seen to ever get something approximating a reasonable value for your miles is on their weekend specials. You can go for a nominal dollar cost plus reduced mile award.

thanks guys for the responses. i did go ahead and cash in the miles. for me it was worth it cause i didn't even know i had them. i had racked them up several years ago and never fly continental/delta/northwest anymore so they were just gonna sit there. to me it felt like found money and i was able to get really good flight roundtrip to florida for $10.

thanks again!
