Anyone have experience with dis. and segway tour?

I would love to sign my DF up for this as a surprise however he has PArkinson's. Not bad just a nasty tremor that makes it noticeable. The tremor does not prevent him from driving (it is tremor that resolves when grasping). I am wondering if thet would disallow him?

I've not heard of anyone with disabilities going on the Segway tour. I do know that some people with disabilities that affect walking have bought and use their own Segways, but WDW and DL don't allow their Segways to be used at the parks. (Unless they have changed from stuff I read in January).
You could try calling the numbers that WDW lists on their page of Disabilities information:

I'm not sure how good an idea a surpise might be. It's possible that they might not be able to say for sure whether or not he can participate until he is there. It would not be a good surprise if he gets turned down right after finding out he is going.

I did the Segway tour in February. If the tremors go away with grasping I wouldn't think there would be a problem. You place both hands on the column and use body lean to move forward and back. The left hand controls a knob that will turn you left and right. The thing about a Segway is that you have to stand for the entire time. It's not like walking where the weight is constantly shifting. On the Segway you stand in one place. That can get a little tiring.

Best thing you can do is call. It sounds to me like it wouldn't be a problem. Good luck!
