Is there still a dog kennel? Has anyone been there lately? Does anyone have a phone number for them?

We just adopted a Greyhound and don't want to leave her home for 6-7 hrs we'd be away at DL. She isn't used to being separated from us for long periods of time yet.

Does the kennel require licenses? We haven't got hers yet.

Thanks for any info. -

The kennels were there last August when we last visited, never used them though.

Kennels

Indoor Kennel facilities for the Disneyland® Resort are located to the right of the Main Entrance of Disneyland® park. The Kennel is available for a charge of $15.00. Sorry, there are no facilities for overnight accommodations.

I don't personally have experience with the kennel at Disney, however I just read something about it the other day. The Disney website says that there is one located to the right of the main entrance. The website says it costs $15/day (no overnight accomodation) and to call (714)781-7290 (Disneyland Resort Information) with further questions. I think I read somewhere that food is provided, unless your pet is on a special diet and you need to bring your own in that case. Hope this helps. :flower:

Thanks for the replys. I called the "real person line" (took about 2 hrs of busy signals) at DL and got some addtional info that is not posted on the website. So I thought I'd share it here.

The kennel is open 15 mins before the park and closes 30 mins after the park closes. They charge $15.00 and only take cash. No proof of license or current shots are required. They do serve Purina Dog Food but you can bring your own if you want. And dog owners need to visit their dog to give potty breaks.

We are thrilled that they offer this service. Our "new" girl is only used to being separated from us for a 1-2 hrs at a time. We hope to increase the length of time in the next couple weeks but for this weekend it looks like our family will still get to enjoy the fireworks before Christmas. :cool1:

Hello we used to take our Dalmatian there all the time when he was a puppy. It's very nice and clean. They have a grass area with hydrants and trees for you to take them out to exercise and go potty. We loved that we knew he was ok while we were out. You do not have to have a license. At least last time I checked. He loved riding the tram too. LOL

Hope this helps!

Nice pic! Our 13 year old dalmation passed away in September.

The last time I used the kennel was about 4 years ago when we had a new puppy we did not want to leave at home alone. No license was required. The kennels there are very minimal-- small and not too much fun, although the staff was nice. Think pet store cages with a solid floor. They have a little area for you to take your dog out for a break, but it's not like the dogs can go in and out as they please. Also watch your step in that area, 'cause it's full of surprises. Again this was a few years back, but that was my experience. HTH.

Are you sure that they don't require proof of rabies shots? We were going to leave our 2 dogs there last spring but didn't need to at the last minute. I thought I needed proof of some kind of shots. They recently remodeled the kennel and stroller area. The kennels are tucked in a corner to the right of the main entrance. We will be at the park on Saturday and will try to take pictures for you.

I noticed many of these posts are old. I'd like to update for all of you. We have used the kennel many times this year for our Great Dane, Gus. It is $20 a day. You ABSOLUTELY DO NEED PROOF OF SHOTS! I've seen people show up without it and it is a bummer. They will call your vet and try to have them fax the information (as long as they are open). You can bring your own food or they have food there they will feed your dog. They ask you to come visit your dog every 3 to 4 hours.

Wonderful climate controlled kennel. We always bring a bed for Gus (although they do have cute little blankets they can borrow) and a favorite toy. My favorite kennel castmember is Jenny. She is so kind and always sets up Gus' spot while we take him out to the little park for a potty stop.

Now if they would just provide overnight accomodations, that would be perfect:wizard:
