Arts and Crafts Anyone have experience in carving/cutting vinyls?

Hello, I found a page that is selling Disney inspired vinyl clocks and I want to make one for my daughter. But I have no prior experience when it comes to vinyls. I plan on sketching outlines of what I want to make then cut it from there. But I'm wondering if the vinyls are easy to crack or does it require any special kind of cutting tool to do it?
