Hi everyone! We are considering staying at the PPH in July. I cannot find any pictures of the pool area-does anyone have any they would be willing to share? I am trying to get an idea of what the pool area looks like. We really want to stay at the DLH, but don't think we can afford it!
Thanks in advance!! :)

How big is your living room? It's probably bigger than the PPH pool.

Seriously.

The pool itself is nothing more than a TINY rectangle pool, at most, 15ftx30ft. Its like the quiet pools at most WDW moderate/deluxe hotels.

The slide is separate from the pool, looks kinda like a wooden roller coaster, and empties out into itself (a shallow trough of water, maybe 4 inches worth of water).

It's a super lame pool, by the standards of any slightly discriminating child.

You can find pictures by searching Google images. Be aware that most of the pictures are taken from angles that make the pool appear MUCH larger than it really is. I think the capacity of the pool is something like 40 people.

I think we should remember that the pool was just or is still being? refurbished, so is it still the same?

As a child I remember loving just being in the water at a motel 6, and on a ridiculous family reunion trip last year my son was ecstatic over the simple pool at a super 8, so we didn't have any problems with the PPH pool on the stay when we got to use it.

Either we're just easily pleased or we're not discerning; either way, the fun of a pool IMO is to swim, not just the looks. (and since we got to swim at the DLH pool on our trip this month b/c of the refurbishments to PPH pool, I can tell you it's not very fun to SWIM at the DLH pools, no matter how pretty it looks) (especially when the water is freezing and even the adults' lips are turning blue)

Does anyone know what the renovations are? Are they changing the pool, or just doing maintenance?

It sounds like just maintenance from the wording I've seen and what I've been told.

This is the only one I have and it is from the our room. You can only see the slide and the spa. The pool is over to the right out of view. We actually didnt bring our swimsuits when we went but the kids definately wanted to go in it! :) They thought the slide looked cool!
