Anyone have any opinions about Fresh?

Have been considering trying Fresh for breakfast one morning on our trip this fall since Spoodles will no longer be an option by then. Has anyone tried their breakfast buffet and what did you think?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I haven't heard if it.
Is this the new restaurant that will be replacing Spoodles?

It's a buffet located at the Dolphin. They don't accept the Dining Plan since it's a non-Disney owned property so I'm guessing I'm not going to get tons of responses but I'm sure there are a few people around here who've dined there.

We're staying at the Beach Club in October so the Dolphin is within easy walking distance. We've no desire to eat at Cape May (been there, done that) and our last experience at the Yacht Club Galley (Captain's Grille) soured us on giving them another try. The Boardwalk Bakery doesn't interest us either (another been there, done that). If Spoodles is closed by then (and I suspect it will be) then the Dolphin will be our only option for a non-character breakfast in a location that will not require transportation other than our feets.

It's good and most everything is made "fresh". But that's the one problem--there can be quite a line when the chefs are making everything from pancakes, to eggs, to waffles.
It's not excatly a standard buffet.

We haven't had breakfast there for a couple years but really enjoyed it in the past.

Don't know if this has changed but unusual fruit juices were offered in small glasses. Antioxidant mixes, etc.. I remember beets and carrots being in the mixes.

Fruits were more than the standard melons, pineapple, etc.. Raspberries, blueberries, etc..

Eggs made to order, pancake of the day or something like that.

Fresh squeezed oj and Starbucks coffee.

We had very good service each time we visited. I think we need to go back!

DVC members do get a discount...or at least did.:goodvibes

Thanks for your input ... one reason we're interested in giving it a try is the DVC discount which the member website still lists at 20%.

It sounds like a tasty option so I have a feeling we'll probably pay them a visit come October.

Thanks again everyone for your responses!

It has been a while since we've eaten here as well but we always did enjoy it and thought they had a very good breakfast especially because most items are "fresh"...however as mentioned on some mornings there can be quite a line and a wait to get your food because the chefs cook to order. They do have some unique items there and it is a nice change from CMC.

Does anyone know if they still do a AAA discount?

We used to be big fans of Fresh, but the original chef left. As of December, they had started dumbing down their options. They used to have a specialty pancake and french toast, and those went away.

The food was still good, just not nearly as special for the price. The 20% DVC discount was till in effect.

Before Fresh, we used to go to the breakfast buffet at the Garden Grove. I believe they only have characters (and a fancier buffet, with higher prices) on the weekends. With Spoodles gone, we may have to try that again. As with Fresh, DVC members get a 20% discount.

I used to love Fresh, then they quit making interesting food.
