Anyone have any luck with early check-in at the BCV?

I'm still trying to decide when we want to leave from my in-laws this Sunday (they live in Jax, Fl.) to head down to Disney. (To me the sooner the better). I was just wondering if anyone who's been down there recently had any luck checking in early. I asked a similar version of this question before but that was before it opened so I was hoping to hear from any voices of experience. Thanks in advance!

You can check-in any time, you just won't necessarily be able to get into a room prior to 4:00.

Many will arrive at 8:00 am or so, check-in, get their key and all the paperwork, then head out to the parks for the day. They'll give you a phone number you can call anytime after 4:00 pm to get your room number. Then whenever you want, you can just go directly to your room.

You can leave your luggage with bell services in the morning. When you finally do get into your room, call bell services and they will bring your luggage to your room.

As to actually getting the room early. That's mainly a matter of luck. It would have to be a room that met your requirements (smoking/non-smoking, etc), in which the previous guests checked out early, and housekeeping has had a chance to already clean.

Thanks Caskbill, we can't wait! I think well try to get there around noon or 1:00 and hope the room will be ready, if not maybe go have a relaxing lunch somewhere like Rainforest Cafe and then stroll around Downtown Disney. I'm getting excited with only about 5 days left to go!

Or Lunch at Beaches and Cream, and then swim in StormAlong bay until room is ready...
