anyone have any luck getting their spirit fares refunded?

We're booked to go Labor Day weekend and I don't like things being up in the air although I know I have time. I just saw that Continental dropped a little to a fare I'm comfortable paying so I bought it online (24hrs to cancel without penalty) but only want to keep it if I get Spirit's fares refunded.

So all that said, has anyone received a full refund or just the credit?

Unless (or until) your flight is actually canceled, it is unlikely you'd get anything but a credit.

Your credit card company will refund you for services not rendered, but they have to be not rendered first.

Which will probably be the case as Spirit seems to be playing it day by day.

I just got off the phone with AmEx (who has always been great) and they said they'll start now and the agent said she wouldn't wait if it was herself. While it's "under investigation" I don't need to pay. Hopefully the Spirit strike is over within the next 24 hrs or won't respond to them and I get the refund and am free to book wherever I want. Continental is exactly double the Spirit cost (and the Spirit cost included the enrollment in their $9 fare club).
