Anyone have any luck getting Sci Fi reservations?

There is no availability on any of my days. Did I try to late or did they decide not to open it?

I had no luck getting anything for 2 or 3 people, but when I increased my party size to 4, several times popped up. Going second week of August.

I did for August but it was the hardest of all the reservations. Very few times. I picked 12:30 for example for 4 and saw a 11:45 and a 2pm. Tried a different day, nothing so went back and it was then only the 2pm. Perhaps they have it set with very low capacity or perhaps every car can’t be filled and maintain social distancing

I got 2 7:30 pm reservations for two people in late July / early August. But I was up at 5:30 am CT to book.

july 22 I originally put lunch then I changed it to a time and 345 popped up for 2 people

I kind of cheated to get our reservation for 2. I put in for 4 people and got 11:45. Then went in to modify and changed it to 2. I hope we won’t get turned away for not having seating for 2.

We got a reservation for 8 on July 20th. But we were on at 5:45am...

I had no luck for 7 people. Ended up with two reservations, ten minutes apart. Had to book one adr for 5 and one for 4. It was the only combination that worked

I Will try to modify out the two unneeded guests.

Booked 7/31 for 4 people, 2:15PM, other choice I got was 12:45PM. I was looking for a lunch ressie. (Booked around 7:30AM today)

No problem for us - 11:35a, 8/4. There were other times available too. Party of 5.
I found availability everywhere, all parks, all days. The more I looked at it though, the less I wanted to actually make the reservations. AK and MK close SOO early it doesn't seem worth it for dinner. I thought about Yak and Yeti @ AK for lunch but it didn't seem all that much better than the quick service places. We were scheduled to do CRT at MK but that is closed. It is seeming pretty likely we'll just order big from Garden Grocer and plan to eat back at the DVC quite a bit - SOO glad we have a 1BR this time!

Initially nothing came up, but when I put in party of 5, lots of times popped open. After I booked, I went in to change my reservation. I reduced party to 3 and a new time for lunch came open 15 minutes earlier than my party of 5 reservation. Switched it easy peasy.

OP, try increasing party size and changing it after you book. If you cannot alter it, then just cancel the reservation if you feel uncomfortable.

I was able to get a dinner reservation for the end of July for 4 people. I was up at 5:45 this morning making the reservations though. There was a lot of availability when I was on there this morning.

I found availabiity for whatever I wanted (SciFi, B&C, etc) at 0630 EDT. By 0730 the usual suspects had no times available.

That’s what I did . Now I wonder if they are only doing larger parties because they want to only put one group in each car.

I don’t think so, as I was able to book two lunches for our party of two (and start out with two, not four modified down to two).
