I was looking into the cannon s3 as a bridge step for me from a p/s camera to a dslr (not ready to take the full jump right now) since it appears to give more control of things than a p/s gives you and I came across this from olypmus http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...CategoryId=pcmcat99300050008&id=1170290184000
anyone have any info or reviews of this the zoom potential looks incredible and if the night pic tech actually works it looks like it may be a good camera choice
While I dont' have any experience with that camera I can tell you that it uses xD cards and the write speed is slow compared to all other cards. Other then that here is one review of it
This is a good camera as long as you keep everything in perspective. It's extremely feature rich, no other P&S can give you 15 shots per second at 500mm equivalency. My two biggest complaints are the write speed of the xD and the hunting the autofocus does at higher levels of magnification. Past x15 or so, the camera seems to occasionally have issues.
