We have been offered airfare & hotel accomodations for 2 in our choice of Orlando, New Orleans, Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Accomoadations are at a Ramada/Holiday Inn/Sheraton. The catch is we have to attend a 90 minute "presentation" about an hour from home prior to receiving our "free trip". We will receive nothing other than airfare & 2 nights in the hotel. Has anyone attended the presentation or actaully taken such a trip. DH is dying to see Cirque's "O" in Vegas BUT...

These are very HARD sell opportunities, they really don't want to take no for an answer at the presentation. Then there is usually a catch to the "free" trip - you have to pay the taxes, you have to pay a reservation fee, the hotel may not be anything like the description. I would not attend one of these, I've seen to many TV Consumer Alerts about them. And don't fall for the 99 dollar 4 night vacation cruise to the Bahamas along with 4 nights in the "Walt Disney Resort Area" and 4 additional nights in Vegas, Miami, etc etc. The cuise ship is usually a not very nice one, they have been kjnown tyo drop you off at the pier and you get to find your own way to a motel (NOT Hotel) and find your way back to get back on the ship to return.

There are very few freebies. Be vary wary.

PS, I know that there are honest, hardworking people who do this type thing and do it well, with out pressure or misrepresentation, and there are probably people on the boards who have bought good things, but you have to ask your self, how can a company afford to "give you airfare for 2 and hotel for 2 or 3 nights, if you aren't going to buy theor product?

We went to one last night. Although I don't think it was called Global Travel. It is a hard sell of a Travel club. Cost is 4 figures. We might have thought about it a few years ago but definitely not now. We kept our wallet shut and walked out after only 4 no's. Our trip was 3 nights in either Orlando or Las Vegas - airfare and hotel at a Sheraton hotel. The caveat is that you have to leave on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. We are trying to decide whether we want to use it to fly to Las Vegas this fall. We've already got 3 trips to Orlando planned in the next 12 months.

Hint - if you are interested, say no until the bouncer comes. He'll cut the price in half.
